I've been having problems with US Invest for the past few months. I'm in Australia and it hasn't been easy to get to them. They've been completely ignoring my e-mails and my request for a refund even though I have written proof that states I have the right to. I know the US market and have already invested there from Australia prior to US Invest. When I started questioning some of their numbers, they started ignoring my numbers.
I sent this e-mail to James, Sean, Brandon, and Timothy a month ago (see below) and I still haven't heard anything back from anyone after two follow up attempts.
After reading the reports on this website, I wonder whether this was all a scam to begin with. I intend to start legal procedures in coming week if I still don't heard anything back after this. If anyone has done something similar before, I'll be happy to hear from you.
If you are considering US Invest, stay away! I can recommend you other companies that find better deals and no membership fee!
Below is the e-mail I sent to US Invest explaining the issue:
--------
I’m writing to you to express my disappointment towards US Invest and I trust that, as the owner of US Invest, you will take the right corrective action to sort this issue out:
I first contacted US Invest to seek a way to refinance one of my US properties. I was assured that I could get financing and that the interest rate would be approximately 4.75%-5.5% at the highest.
Brandon Montano let me know that US Invest would only do refinancing if I were to purchase a property with US Invest. In order to do so, I first had to purchase the membership at $1,497. I didn’t want to purchase the membership just for the sake of refinancing and what if I couldn’t refinance? But Brandon agreed to refund my membership if I didn’t find any properties that fit my criteria in 2 months. That was mid 2014.
I didn’t find a property that met my criteria. I even gave US invest more time to find me one, but still nothing. In the meantime, the financing terms have changed (6.99%-8.25%). So early this year, I asked for my refund.
To my surprise, my e-mails and phone calls were unreturned. After several attempts, I was finally directed to Sean McFarland who was not keen to give me my refund. I agreed to give US Invest one more chance to find me a property. Sean and I reviewed a few properties. However, I had some questions and my few e-mails were totally ignored. It’s been over a month now.
At this stage, I’ve had enough. I want to exercise my right to get my refund of the 1,497 USD back. Will you able to put the credit back on my credit card?
I trust that you will be able to solve this issue quickly. See attached supporting evidence.
