Us Xpress Us Xpress and Transport Enterprise Leasing (TEL) Lease set up to fail Chattanooga Tennessee
You contract to lease with Us Xpress through their third party company, TEL. They say you will get 2500 to 2800 miles a week. The reality is you will not see that high of a number of miles. At 2300 miles, you will only make approximately $600. After taxes, that is only $400 a week. If they ever leave you sitting out on the road for the whole weekend, your pay will be more like $150 before taxes for that week. Basically, it is way less than minimum wage for a 70hr work week. Not being able to save for anything, you will be in debt the first time you have to shut down for things like mandatory DOT inspections or anything else that might happen. As far as the TEL side of it, if you want to end the lease you must pay the remaining month's lease payment, the next month's lease payment, an $1800 early termination fee, and any repairs needed on the truck, all together, about $5000. So, what happens after you find you have only made about $800 after taxes your first month driving a TEL truck for US Xpress and you want to quit and turn the truck in before they financially ruin you? You discover all you really signed on for was to end up owing "them" $5000 for a wasted month of working 70 hrs a week.

Wow... Respectfully, I am glad you do not run my business... It's obvious you aren't Leasing a Tractor. If you did, you would have included Fuel Surge Charge, Itemized Deductions, and Other Business Related Expenses, Bonus', and Tax Credits... It is not $600 after Taxes... If that is all your making, you are with the wrong Fleet Manager, Wrong Account, and/or Wrong Fleet Owner... I did 2700 miles last week alone. Include the Fuel Surge Charge, Bonus, etc... My Settlement was $4200 Gross/$1700 Net...
