I received the following e-mail from US Bank after I reported the suspicious e-mail my daughter received to them: I greatly apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Recently, a large number of emails have been sent out to various email addresses. These emails were not sent out by US Bank. We appreciate your attention in reporting suspicious emails that you received. U.S. Bank would never distribute an unsolicited email requesting confidential information from our customers, asking for such personal or confidential information like your PIN, User ID, Password or Social Security number. You should NEVER provide this information in an email. Please do NOT respond to the suspicious emails that you received. They should be deleted from your email box. U.S. Bank is working aggressively with law enforcement officials to resolve this matter.
