Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
This company is pushing credit card abuse to its limits and shows the need for the new credit legislation which was recently signed by President Obama. This company goes out its way to accept transactions that take a credit card holder overlimit and adds multiple fees of $39 to the account. In addition they are trying to double my interest rate. I also believe this company manipulated my regular interest rate to create an overlimit situation.

This company supposedly has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota. When I filed a complaint with this bureau the company totally denied the substance of my complaints, ignores some of the issues raised in my complaint and totally refuses to make anybody I can contact responsible for answering the complaint. Either the responses are nameless or have no last name and no physical address and no phone number except a toll free number of card services. When you call card services they do not have access to the complaint filed with the BBB and refuse to give you access to someone who does. I finally tried calling them and asking for the name of someone listed as management in the BBB report. I was given this person's voicemail and waiting to see if my call will be returned.

[So you are blaming the credit card company when you charge more than your limit?!?!?! FYI, if you charge enough to be within a few dollars of your credit limit, then interest hits, you are going to go over. It is your responsibility to monitor this.] In addition they are trying to double my interest rate [when you repeatedly go over your limit, or have late payments, your interest rate will default. This is standard, and is listed in the terms and conditions you agreed to when you got the card.]. I also believe this company manipulated my regular interest rate to create an overlimit situation. [how?]

"This company is pushing credit card abuse to its limits and shows the need for the new credit legislation which was recently signed by President Obama...This company goes out its way to accept transactions that take a credit card holder overlimit and adds multiple fees of $39 to the account..." - And just how do they go out of their way? I guess you have a rep from US Bank following you every day and when ever you make a purchase they hold a gun to your head forcing you to use their card right? The only reform of the fees is if the consumer agrees to a fixed credit limit, in that case the credit card issuer can not assess an over the limit fees. But this also means that if you attempt to make a purchase which puts you over the limit it will be declined. So just hope that you keep an eye on your balance, which if you did this you wouldn't be attempting to go over you limit in the first place. Which is the main reason this is unneeded if a person is RESPONSIBLE for their own accounts, so this is "rewarding" the IRRESPONSIBLE. Oh and if you think this means you can give yourself a credit limit of $5,000 that the banks says can only be $500..think again. You will only be able to go DOWN. One other item, if this legislation is really "pro-consumer", why did they delay it until July 2010. As for the BBB they are a company that is Pro-Business and you can expect about as much help from them as you can from this new legislation.
