I have been reading some of the entiries regarding American Values and UTalk prior to entering this.

I also have been ripped off.

My wife was promise a calcelation day of mid-December 2004. On Dec 3rd we noticed that Our bank account had process 2 seperate entries 121.85 and 141.85. On Dec 3rd we called back and said, "cancel my service (which we NEVER used!!) and credit my account. We got the song and dance, sorry we can not credit your account we will send you paper work requesting for refund, that refund will come in check form between 7-10 business days. We figured fie after the holidays we will rceive something. Below is the call log of what took place.

1/17/2004 - talked with Zack. He siad to me and I quote "Sir I'm not supposed to say this but I see a note on you account that the check has alredy been processed and is in the mail"

1/23/2004 - talked with Megan (supervisor), sir you account has been marked and you should be receiving a check.

1/23/2004 - called back to see when it was sent out, was on hold for 20 minutes and I just hung up and called again

1/23/2004 - called back because I wa on hold so long talked with Tim (supervisor) he guarenteed me that they were having a conference call and THEY WOULD CALL ME on 01/24/2004. Needless to say no phone call.

1/26/2004 - talked with Dominick (emp ID 7747) - told me don't worry sir check has been cut and it being sent to (and he lists off my address)

2/04/2004 - Got request form for Refund, wife sent that in THAT day.

2/05/2004 - talked with Tara (Emp ID 5603), Megan (supervisor), Josh Martinez (supervisor, Emp ID 0422). Josh assured me that he is flagging my account and someone will call me within 24 hours from corporate.

I won't be getting this phone call, I can guarentee it.

DON'T TRUST THESES PEOPLE!!!!!!!!

I am Shirley a customer service representative from American Values. Let me start off by stating, in no uncertain terms, that Michael will be getting his refund. American Values is a legitimate program with many satisfied members. It is unfortunate that Michael decided to cancel the membership, but, American Values appreciates everyone's business, including those that don't see the benefits of the program. I really can't comment much on Michael's account of what transpired. While I recognized some of what happened to be proper refund procedure, part of his re-telling is quite vague and doesn't conform to normal procedure. In any case, a follow up call will be greatly appreciated and will clarify much of the misunderstanding. Having stated that, I do recognize that in a few cases, the refund has taken some time. Rest assured that we're taking the necessary steps to speed up the process some more. We greatly appreciate your patience in this regard.
