V2Premier Aka Viscom Technology Goup, Shop NBC/Value Vision TV False Advertising, Poor if any 24/7 Technical Support, Software Outdated, inferior products Chaska Minnesota
Ordered the V18001 system with 12mos. extended warranty from Valuevision TV (bought out I guess by Shop NBC I believe before it arrived or shortly thereafter) on 6-19-01. During the 1st year of use I lost all sound, the Dimera 3500 digital camera works when it wants to (use it for a paper weight right now, just to remind me never to purchase anything from these people again), eats batteries up, belt fastener ripped apart on case after about an hour of use.
Software wasn't the latest versions, and would cost extra to upgrade. Motherboard Instructions don't even mention that it is compatible with Windows ME OS. Fan motor died after 13 mos. Microphone has to be held so close to the mouth to pick up any sound I almost choke on it.
Being a 1st time computer purchaser and watching whoever that blonde haired guy is and his Valuevision cohorts tell all about how great their tech support is & how great there systems are for the 1st time user and how these systems are state of the art, I being skeptical (never bought anything without seeing it 1st), figured after watching a number of shows I'd finally give in and believe there,(what I know now as) BS.
I spent numerous hours on hold and downloading drivers with there so called technicians to no avail. Have been told a higher tech would get in touch with me in a day or so and never did. After about 2 weeks later I fixed the sound by d/ing a different driver from another website not affiliated with them and fixed the sound problem myself.
As far as the camera goes, didn't use it until about 11 mos. after I got it, same as above with the techs , no help & broken promises. No one called back as the low level tech (#03 Sippy was the tech this time I believe)said they would. Gave up on it, takes sh## pictures when it did work.
As for the fan motor goin out, by this time I found out from v2premiere that they do not do the warranty work on extended service contracts and will no longer even answer any tech questions. They referred me to a telephone # to call. I call the # and they have no record of me. After about 2 weeks of faxes and just trying to talk to at human (at v2premiere)I was able to schedule an appointment. The warranty work was finally done after about 21/2 weeks by a Co. called EON. The EON people were courteous and a job well done (which is a helluva lot more than I can say about v2premiere & Shop NBC
I wish I had run across this website a long time ago. I see many of you people have had worse problems than mine, I thank you for your time. I paid $2,149.93 and believe I did not get what I was led to believe. If anyone needs a statement from me, I would be more than willing to help. It has been so hard for me to keep my cool and not go into a cussing rampage about these people (and I use people lightly). The reason I didn't is because I hope somebody takes this me serious and helps put these people out of business. Thank You all & Good Luck.
