Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I was hired to photograph a wedding for this person on September 26 2009 and 30 days before the wedding they asked for engagment photos outdoors but I told them it would not be possible because of the weather - it was raining that day. She became very angry with me and I explained its against policy and written on the contract that I don't provide services outdoors if the weather is bad. The contract waa cancelled and the company I worked for issued 2 refund checks within 10 business days.

They harassed me the company I work for and posted false accusations, bogus statements, misleading information, lies, with the intent to harm my reputation and frighten brides away from that company. Valorie Rossell posted malicious reports on various websites including yelp and ripoff report and filed a complaint with the Attorney Generals office and the Southeastern Michigan BBB. They claim the money was stolen even though a refund was given to them. With the help of a lawyer we got those reviews removed. They are compulsive liars and I have proof. She stole took the identity of another woman and posted a malicious review with that name and was caught in the act by the real woman. Criminal charges have not be pressed yet.

Rich and Valorie Rossell have been attacking me for the past 3 months but they both have been investigated for slander, libel, defamation, identity theft, and tortious interference of business. I hired undercover agents to collect evidence of these civil and criminal infractions and gave to the lawyer because I am building a lawsuit to filed against these people next month. I have pages of evidence over inch thick.

They cost me and the company I work for thousands on damages and court fees because of the malicious reports that caused fear and paranoia among brides that were looking at me and the studio I work for wedding photography. We've lost so much in the past 3 months and the reputation is probably beyond repair at this point even though we have 20 brides from this year that posted great reviews and we are taking legal actions against these people, what they've done is unforgivable.

Before you work with or for these people take my advice and use extreme caution because you could lose your reputation, years of hard work, thousdands of dollars in damages, and hefty court-related expenses if they become angry with you or the company you work for. Its not worth the risk, they cannot be trusted.

Don't loan them money, don't permit them to work for you, don't lend them vehicles or equipment, and don't give them too much personal information. They should be in jail for doing internet fraud and identity theft.

1. It was raining the day of our engagement photos and we called Roy to reschedule for a different date. Roy told us it was not possible and that he would not refund the money we put up front for him to take them.

2. WE did not cancel. Roy told us that his rate went up and if we did not pay the extra fees he would not show up for our wedding. This is his MO and he has done the same thing to at least a half dozen families that I know of. We had already paid him up front and had a signed contract stating the price we agreed on. At this point Roy canceled on us, but not before going on a profanity laced tirade directed at my wife for not paying him the extra money.

3. Roy did cut us a refund. 2 months after our wedding. We had to borrow money from our parents to pay for a new photographer last minute. Also, both of the checks that Roy cut were out of a closed bank account and they bounced. We went to our local police department and they offered to pursue Roy for "Uttering in publishing" which is basically check fraud. We were told that if we did that we would probably never see our $650 that he took from us. We instead kept calling Roy and threatening to sue him until he brought us a cashiers check. He told us that he had to borrow money from his mom and dad to pay us back. I guess I should thank them.

4. I am reading accusations about my wife that she has committed fraud and impersonated people and a host of other things. If I even need to say it, this stuff is totally false.  Please know that we are good people and our only crime is trying to protect people from the same trap we fell in. This whole report was designed with the idea that he could get us to take our report down if he wrote a bad report about her and I. As angry as it makes me, If we help even one more bride from getting scammed it was worth the heartache it has caused our family.

I hope this clears up the matter. If you have been scammed by Roy or Expressions photography and would like to submit your case along with the others to the attorney general, please contact me and i will direct you to the right person.

Amazing. I learned something about Ripoffreport.com today. If someone writes a bad review about you, just make up a false review about them and blackmail them into taking down their post. I wrote a review about expressions photography on Nov 20th and the owner, Roy Parks contacted me and asked me to take the review down. I explained to him that it is not possible to do that and I received this email a few days later.

I guess this is my chance to defend myself (amazing that I need to?) for all of Roy's slander. For the record I did not take my report down and other people are coming forward. I have been in touch with several families that have contacted us about similar experiences they have had with Roy and I have directed them to the state attorney general. Here are a couple pending cases against him and his "company".
