I have been online reading so many of these so called "rip off" reports and just wanted to go ahead and actually put some truth to the stories I have been reading and also hopefully some peace of mind as despite popular belief some things I have read let's start with the above story.......michelle I wanted to first touch base with your story and correct a few things as I work for the company in question and I'm not sure who your client is whether it be sallie mae michigan gaurantee or texas gaurantee but each client comes with their own requirements now this could be from monthly payments all the way to us and how long we can work for in a day's time however as a general rule of thumb an account does not stay in anyone collections office over 220 days unless you're in what's called a "rehab program". As far as the claim that we call everyday I'm sorry to say but that is within law regulations we have the right to. In response to these complaints of us telling people that we are going to garnish them despite these individuals already being in a repayment plan...all of our calls are recorded and very heavily monitored as we do not condone the "rogue collector" approach and is in fact against our company policies as well as using any alias, coercion, or any "strong arming" our clients. I in fact have been told by numorous of my clients that they felt I was one of the most reasonable and nicest "debt collector" they had ever spoken with. Now I understand that despite such monitoring and policies their is always still room for error and I apologize if this was your experience with our company. However as I have stated already this is not a practice of ours. We attempt to do our best with all of our clients and we are as reasonable and as fair as we are able to be and still staying within requirements. Now at the same token understand we deal with individuals who are doctors, nurses, chiropractors, business owners etc..who all obviously have the means to make payments but refuse to or "dodge" this so when we are taking information we do gauge ourselves to match that of the individual on the other end of the phone.

www.budhibbs.com Read dealing with Collectors 101 What they are doing is illegal per the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. VAN RU is a known bottomfeeder that does not follow the law, but WHEN YOU DO WHAT YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO - you can stop them..
