Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Where do I begin.  I have been dealing with this company since buying a double wide in 2008 still decades later still dealing with them and no resolution because who am I? Not enough higher on the pyrimid to fight this company but atleast I may can prevent someone else from going through this....

Charged double for a double wide, the land was given to me by my mother for $1. The double wide was $54,000 b/c I was told by Dian at Clayton Homes that if I bought the one on the lot as is out the door with additional fees move set up and  for brick underpinning. I never seen the price on the closing paperwork.  I also never received a copy of my mortgage loan contracts that I signed that stated 54,000 plus 5200 for moving and set up fees which brought my loan to $59,200.00 from Green Attorneys.

I called Vanderbuilt, I was told to call green attorney in Raleigh to get my Loan paper work the signed copies, I did, green attorney told me to contact Vanderbuilt. Its been back and forth with my loan contract that I said at closing since 2008. I was told I would get a screen in back porch plus a grill for buying a home from clayton homes.  I received a grill out tool kit but no grill nor a back screen in porch.

I paid for the 3 decks.  one on the front, side and back.

I looked at my loan on my first payment back in 2008 it was for $125,000 also it was suppose to be a FHA at 7.5% well I was just told this year I have a conventional loan like buying a car??? is what chris my rep said.  who would pay $125,000 for a 3 bed, 2 ba double wide not a modular but a double wide with no land, the land was given to me for a $1, The deed was transferred into my name. When the DW was set up there was so many work orders including busted pipes, foundation sinking, doors not closing, roof leaking etc.  I was told I had to pay out of pocket because 90 days was up, So I did.

Years later a bad storm came through that messed up the roof and siding plus an outside building,  Filed insurance claim for about 12,000 Per insurance adjusters amount (which works for vanderbuilt)worth of damage I only got about 4,000 of that and I had reciepts. I was told it was put into an account that would be paid toward my loan payment but was not.  I asked them to send me a check for the remaining amount but never did because they told me that they applied it to my principle and interest.  Also the first check was made out to me and vanderbuilt???? so I had to sign the insurance check first then mail it back to vanderbuilt but of coarse I never got the funds back vanderbuilt took it all.

Insurance Fraud, Escrow Fraud, Excessive Phone Calls, Deed Transfer to Green attorneys??? not even in my name, which I am confused about.  Vanderbuilt rep showing up at my home when not even two months behind to make sure someone is still living in it so I was told, this happen atleast 11xs since 2008.  I have almost $2,000 in Escrow. I had already paid taxes.  That took upon themselves after I called several times to get my funds out of escrow and I get a letter that a quarterly review was completed and the funds was applied to insur and taxes for the year of 2022. Please tell me why they paid a year in advance when they know I pay on my own.  I needed that money for an emergency b/c my daddy is going through cancer and I was in a financial bind but that is what they wanted me to be in a financial bind.

The Owner of this company is a billionaire its not fair what he is doing to the poor/middle class. he is using clayton homes to use us to buy a home and pay double to triple back or not even get a chance some foreclose which that is what he wants so he can turn back around and take it and resell it.

My pay off is still over 80,000.  my loan was suppose to be for 15 years. bought in 2008 and now its 2021.  I am really crying every day over this and stressed out because I got used, and abused financially.  I have all my paper work and names to back up what I am saying.  I am so tired of it. I am literally crying right now. I have health issue b/c of this and my hair is falling out.  I am only 44 years old, I should not be stressed out like this.  My first home is my nightmare please help me with this.  What Clayton Homes, Modern Homes insurance company and Vanderbuilt mortgage is WRONG. I AM BEGGING YOU PLEASE HELP ME. There is so much more.
