I have had the same problem with the "sister" companies not willing to refi my Vanderbilt mortgage. I can't even get the "umbrella company" to refi it due to the improper foundation and FHA won't touch it either! Since my kids are grown and will be out SOON I'm ready to move into my 5th wheel camper for a couple years and let Vanderbilt/Clayton have this mess back! Some times it is better to take the credit rating hit than to keep trying to deal with a company like these. Good luck to you!
