Veridian Research Incorporated Secret Shopper Scam Ontario Alabama
My wife received a letter in the mail from Veridian Research Incorporated. The instructions asked us to take a check provided for $3590 to Wal-Mart and send a money transfer for that amount it to a "Nadia Adeck", a so called relative of ours in Bristol, New Brunswick, Canada.
It seemed odd to me and luckily my wife works for Wal-Mart. First of all she is trained in recognizing false checks and quickly told me that there is no way the check is real. Secondly, she said that when you send more than $1000 through the Moneygram service at Wal-Mart they enter all of your ID information. I have no doubt that this gives them all the info they need to scam people.
We aren't really sure who to give this info to to stop these people but we did not cash the check, we aren't going to send money to somebody I don't know in Canada and OHHH! The fax number is exactly the same the Global Research info I found in another report on here.
