Verizon (Bell Atlantic) sold me a what I believed was a single service package providing domain suppor, dsl, and email. Actually, the "service" is provided by unsupervised companies, which Verizon has no interest in holding accountable for its service promises at time of sale. I am given four different help desk phone numbers -- for dsl, dsl email, domain support, domain email support -- apparently all outsourced.

The complaint is with domain email support. It does not happen .. EVER. It was supposed to be 24/7 availability -- in actuality, it is zero/zero. No human ever answers the help desk calls. "Business hours" are 8/5 -- meaning only that the automated answering system during these hours claims to put you in a queue for a tech person who never comes on the line. Complaints or requests left on their answering machine are simply ignored. There has never(as in never ever)been a reply to more than one hundred calls to the help desk -- all left on answering machines.
