VERIZON SCREWED ME, AN EMPLOYEE!
Long story shortened...
I was a manager with Verizon for 18 years. I had a violent employee. I wanted to call security but my boss, who is located 70 miles away, said she would have me fired if I did. The employees union, CWA, also made threats to me. Violence continued. Boss threatened me numerous times not to do anything or I would be fired. Derogatory poem was written at work about violent employee and others. Union accused me. Due to all the stress, I was now on tranquilizers, depression medicine and seeing a therapist. I then had an on the job MVA where I was struck in the rear. Just before that I filed EEOC charges against my boss. The boss told the compensation people I was on a business errand when I had the accident. Then she received notice of the EEOC charges and, at my compensation hearing, lied under oath saying I had no authorization to be on the errand. I lost the comp case. The next day I found an email from my boss authorizing me to go on the errand and the case is in appeal. I went on disability as a result of the accident...was out for 6 months. On December 18, 2001, I was due back at work and was called to a meeting with my boss' boss. He said that they were doing an investigation into the derogatory poem and I was to stay out on PAID leave until I heard from them. I was out for 10 months, PAID, and on October 25, 2001, I got a call from the boss' boss telling me that I am being downsized...I am out of a job!!!!!!!!
I WAS DOWNSIZED BECAUSE OF RETALIATION FROM MY BOSS! SHE HAS ALSO DONE MANY UNETHICAL THINGS ON THE JOB SUCH AS INSIST I FALSIFY DOCUMENTS, ETC. Write to me at [email protected]
