I am a disabled veteran, 100% P&T, and incompetent to handle my finances (not by a juditial process). I have filed my own protest against the Oregon VA in a post here- search for veterans administration- you will find it. First, I would like to correct you. You don't have a "payee" in "criss-cross", you have a federally assigned fiduciary. Secondly, they are within their rights (but this does not make them right) Third, you may or may not be located in Criss-cross. Fourth, you have rights they are not telling you about. Look up VBA handbook 1004.1. You have a right to a "surrogate decision maker", you have a right to have your decision making process constantly monitored, to see if it returns (yes, your decision making process is in question right now). You, or your surrogate desision maker, have a right to refuse treatment and to leave Criss-cross if you are there (but this will not change there status as your federally assigned fiduciary. The previous responces to your posts may be inacurate. People should not talk unless they know what is going on and the VA certainly does not want people to know what is actually going on. Search ripoffreport.com for "veteran", and look for my name- "Rondal" from Beaverton Oregon. you will learn some very valuable info and some much needed websites. As for your previous respondent, he should check my posts in my report. He may need some education on the real "incompitancy" issue (absolute power corrupts absolutely)

After doing some research on Criss-Cross, it is as I suspected. You apparently are in an assisted living facility. Whenever you are in a county, state, or federal assisted care facility, you sign over the majority of any retirement/pensions/disability payments you are recieving. Usually at least 70% Here is who they are: Contact Us ------------------------- Center for Excellence in Disabilities Contact Information Address: Center for Excellence in Disabilities 959 Hartman Run Rd. And what do they have to do with the VA? Some things do not add up here. Do you have direct deposit or are they mailing your check? Is someone else your legal guardian? Do you live in some sort of assisted living facility? You can file a complaint with the Deparment of Veterans Affairs in Washington, DC. Also, if you have direct deposit, see if it is a problem with your bank or if your deposit is being "split" between your bank and another bank. I'm still curious to know who this Criss cross is. Do you know them? Have you ever signed any type of agreement with them?
