Victoria moss and gutter is ran by Ryan Paranich. Aka ryan roga. First and foremost this man thinks after no mention of the work provided up until after the work provided that it would be made out to my company. From my understanding i was operating under my own name, since he stated, "Don’t know what weekend work you’re talking about. Give me addresses. You have $337.14 due tomorrow and $517.57 due next Friday." He decided after the work was rendered of course to make everything out to my company, having not mentioned that was what he planned on doing and after having not asked if i agreed to that. He is refusing to pay as i insist on being paid as a contractor under my own name as i have done with other businesses in the past, as doing so under my business would potentially screw with some tax exemption that would wind up costing me twice what is owed anyways.
Roughly a week prior, this deadbeat had said: "I know I’m asking a lot to ask you to be flexible there, for sure, no question. So you understand where I’m coming from I have $2042 in outstanding payments, and even if they all paid today the soonest I’d see that cash flow is the 4th. If your life doesn’t allow you to be flexible with when you can receive payment this week, I fully respect that and I’ll get it to you right away. For me it is worth asking, just in case the answer was a yes, even on partial payment or something to that effect." Be warned that before you work for this man or his business that these are the sort of games that he will play with your money after the fact when you have already done the work. He (Ryan Paranich) also stated one day: "Starting next week if you dont report when you have finished work you dont get paid anything more than minimum wage."
This slimy creature makes fake reviews. He created such a review under a yelp account by the name of "ryan s" which i read and interpreted as malicious and childish and defamatory of mike o'hara who operates a business called mossman. When he was transitioning out of sales/general management at Roof Cleaning Victoria and a client was getting upset, he suggested that if things went sour that they get sent to Victoria Moss and gutter. How positively manipulative, seems like he thinks his clientele to generally be stupid. Here is a quote: "Sure thing. If he's upset tell him that victoria moss & gutter will do it at the same price." Be forewarned before you work for this man or do business with him that this is what sort of dishonest, immoral individual he is. Also i will followup with screencaps and any evidence that i have, looks like i may have to sue this guy for what he owes -- to which he has threatened that i will have to pay costs for in small claims (how stupid can one get after admitting to the money owed the day before). Here is a man that was informed that i was sick, literally on the 22nd, then schedules me for saturday while not communicating it or mentioning it to me, (a saturday) and complains that i needed to call him to let him know that i am still sick. Guess he thinks he owned every day of my life and doesnt have to give notice of scheduling on the day of, and here is a quote from him on the 23rd at the end of the day: " You’re sick today. That’s fine. I’m not even talking about today, I’m talking about countless other issues I’ve had that have collected to this moment. The moment when I’m preparing you an employee contract that I spend a god d**n lot of my time and energy on just to get it so that it is lucrative and creates the right amount of incentive for you to work hard for this crew, not to mention my money I spent on creating these. Meanwhile you come at me with accusations and entitlement that have no basis in reality. While not calling me to let me know at ANY POINT today that you were still too sick to work, not a text, nothing. Are you starting to see why this might perturb me?" After that saturday i chatted with a mutual aquaintance and was informed that he told them that i didnt mention being sick at all even though that quote (quoting it from the text messages he sent to my phone).
I resent being lied about to other people but this is nothing new with him considering what he did to mike at mossman. This man also attempted to poach my wingman, he suggested that i was keeping "100%" of the money which again was false. When I asked ryan paranich, about the incident he thought as though he was entitled. He claims to have wcb coverage right on his website, but i wouldnt know if he did or not as i never did get to see if any deductions were ever made as all i have ever gotten were e-transfers sent to my personal account (as opposed to my business email). Even his linkedin profile screams shady. Claims he is presently involved in "roga business management services", which seems dubious and its doubtful if there has ever been a business ever registered in that name (although at present time features a website that doesnt work) and some basically empty facebook groups, no reviews, nothing of value. He kept insisting upon employment but kept moving the date to deal with an actual employment contract further and further away. First it was the 10th of december, then he attempted to get me to send my sin number via some google form in an email (to which i stated was insecure and the form didnt work anyways), then it was the 26th. Long story short i believe this guy had it out for me right from day 1 of meeting him and i also feel as though whatever arrangements were to be made with him when roof cleaning victoria stepped to the side and he began to setup his own business, would have ended in dispute regardless and wouldnt last very long either. With all of that in mind, i hope that he reaps what he has sown and im glad to be moving on, away from such a toxic individual.

Ryan Paranich allegedly created a new company - MossAway Services Inc.(trademark pending). http://mossaway.ca Looks like the name is taken from http://www.mossaway.com. Tried calling the contact number for the .com as its different, number is disconnected. The contact number for the .ca address is the same as victoria moss and gutter. Having a plurality of names and sites to generate leads ought to fool no one as the reputation will follow from one brand to the next. I have included an image of yet even more bad business this man has engaged in. Clearly this individual treats his workers poorly, lacks integrity, and customers should be aware of the sort of business that he engages in.

I trust the enclosed images have shredded ryan roga's rebuttal, however, i'll add a few more nails to this guy's coffin. 1) after we had parted ways i joined shaun on a gutter installation job where i was informed that roga had not paid him when pay was due.
2) after that i had a chat with luke where i was informed that ryan roga had promised to pay him that day upon completion of work and that he had not been paid; i have since asked and he did get paid, however, just pointing out what sort of business man this guy is.
3)when he claims "considering pressing charges for blah blah blah....". He fails to specify who and i'd imagine it is him in his own delusional world doing the "considering", i'd like to tell him to stop spewing fourth libel and just go ahead and do it if he thinks the police will take any action (they won't, but the insinuation of criminal conduct is enough to earn him a libel litigation as that is what is necessary to fully and properly debunk his lies). Go ahead do it, i dare you to, in fact i would like you to.
4)when he claims customer issues, none of that was mentioned prior to the 26th, in fact, this is all stuff that he just so happened to bring up after the 26th when we parted ways. If i make a mistake i expect to hear about it in order to provide remedy (of course he did not go into specific details as he has nothing there, but when i do sue him i do have a list of jobs that i did and i will first wait for him to supply evidence and then will be proceeding to verify all of it with those clients, i suspect that there is nothing major on that list).
5)as a contractor i am entitled to a window of arrival (because of traffic and potential unforeseen circumstances, afterall your contractors are human beings and not robots) and that IS influenced by the weather, as the weather can greatly influence safety on a job. If it is unsafe, i will not do the work until it is safe to do so.
6)when you book someone on a friday (that they are sick and called in sick) and don't mention it to them and expect them to show up the following day......do i really need to explain this one? Aside from that i did get my pay due but i did have to fight for it. This man claims i was a contractor but in name only, i got paid hourly for a set amount of hours. Wcb was his responsibility to take care of. I was told when to work and even told how to work. That is not how you treat a "contractor". He insisted on me using his tools. He repeated over and over again that there would be an "employee contract". I am expecting a call from his lawyer on monday to discuss how this latest quarrel is going to be resolved, because i am ready to simply file on him. I am sick of his lack of morality, his selfish power tripping tendencies, and i am not tolerant of this abusive rebuttal of his that is just rife with fibs that have been disproven with screen caps. I may also have some recorded phone calls and audio clips to add as well at a later date in time.

This article is nothing more than the baseless ramblings of a disgruntled contractor who was terminated for shotty workmanship, extremely questionable integrity and ethics, abysmal punctuality, and inability to follow simple directions.
Ryan Elson, the author of this report, runs a sketchy little outfit called Agrimation. After repeated customer complaints about the quality of his workmanship our company decided to terminate all future dealings with Mr. Elson. On his last job he was given the ultimatum - finish the job and get paid or refuse to return and lose out on the bid by the portion we would have to pay someone else to go finish the job. Mr. Elson chose option A, however he still did not complete the job to customer satisfaction. Ultimately, our company lost hundreds of dollars on this job alone, not to mention countless hours on other botched projects he made a disaster of. Upon being notified of our company's decision he immediately went on a spree of unprofessional correspondence, attempted to extort our company for money, claimed he would file a claim with employment standards - a board to which he has no access to as a subcontractor - in an attempt to make or lives difficult. We are very happy to be rid of Mr. Elson. Our biggest regret is that there is nothing more we can do to protect residents of Victoria and Vancouver Island from being duped by him now or in the future, aside from posting reviews of our experience dealing with him online and hoping it makes a difference.
Mr. Elson is currently being considered for charges of fraud, extortion, and harassment. I suppose it's not surprising that defamation and slander are also in his repertoire.
