I ordered a VinCarHistory report for $9.99 on Jan 31rd 2015. They promise everything the better known vehicle history report company offers for less. I did receive an electronic report, the problem is that every box on the report is checked.
That is, the Odometer: Actual box is checked, their definition: The true mileage for the vehicle. The odometer has not been tampered with, reached its mechanical limits, or been altered. the Odometer: Not Actual box is checked, their definition: The odometer reading is known to be other than the true mileage for the vehicle. the Odometer: Tampering Verified box is checked, their definition: Odometer tampering verified - The odometer reading is known to be other that the true mileage for the vehicle, due to tampering etc all the boxes on the report are checked contradicting each other.
The mileage they gave for the vehicle was 93 miles from 2013, the actual mileage is over 11,500 miles This is my vehicle!
This company just provides a list but just checks ALL the boxes....it's an utter scam, you get nothing at all. The only thing the report accurately delivered was my Vin that I supplied them and the free information in regards to make/model specs that anyone can get by typing your Vin into Google.
I wish I knew about ripoffreport.com before I got ripped off, a lesson learned I guess. I'm glad it was only 10 bucks.
