Virgin Mobile USA Customer Service Representatives lied about services, and now want confidential info sent by email Warren New Jersey
I was continuously receiving Text Messages from a phone number displayed as: 887-87 on my Virgin Mobile phone.
It displayed Spanish language Zodiac updates for the sign 'Gemini'. This is a service I did * NOT * sign up for - from any company.
I wanted it to stop - So I contacted Virgin Mobile USA Customer Service.
1) On Monday, 1/7/2008 at 4:47p.m. Central Time I called *611 and was speaking with a customer service rep.
He told me that Text Messages could *not* be blocked from any particular phone number.
- Checked my account
- Asked to put me on hold
- Left me on the phone for over ***15 minutes*** and the call dropped.
2) I called back immediately,
Monday, 1/7/2008 at 5:02 p.m. Central Time and called back*611 and as soon as it connected - the call was dropped after a high shrill noize blasted in my ear.
3) I waited a few minutes and called again
Monday, 1/7/2008 at 5:26 p.m. Central Time and connected with *611 only to have "Simone," the automated phone mail guide, decide she would say "See You Later" after I tried to page through to an online Representative -
and hung up on me.
4) I called back immediately,
Monday, 1/7/2008 at 5:28 p.m. and dialed *611
This time I spoke with a female Representative.
I asked her to check any notes left on my account
For waiting 15 minutes on line, there should have been a couple of paragraphs!
- She said the only listing on my account was trouble with Text Messages.
- She ALSO told me that I could not block a Text Message from any single phone.
- SHE ALSO CHECKED MY ACCOUNT
- SHE ALSO PUT ME ON HOLD FOR ***15 MINUTES*** AND THE CALL DROPPED AGAIN.
5) I called back later that same evening on the 1-888-322-1122 Virgin Mobile Customer SErvice toll free phone number and spoke to ANOTHER CUSTOMER SERVICE REP.
This one was a male, he had an Asian accent.
- I told him that he was the third Customer Service Rep I had spoken with
- HE SAID - NO YOU ONLY SPOKE TO ONE OTHER PERSON!
- I asked him to tell my why I could not block the 887-87 phone number from sending me Text Messages
- HE SAID IT CANNOT BE DONE FOR ONE PHONE NUMBER
- He informed me that he could block all Text Messages
- I told him to do that.
- I asked to speak to his Supervisor and he told me that all Reps are authorized as Supervisors.
6) The next day I accessed my account on Virginmobileusa.com.
- IT GAVE ME THE OPTION TO BLOCK SINGLE PHONE NUMBERS FROM TEXTING ME !!!
- I DISCOVERED THAT Virginmobileusa.com OFFERS ZODIAC UPDATES!
(coincidence?)
- I AM *NOT* REGISTERED FOR ZODIAC UPDATES ~ ~ ~AND I NEVER WAS
So, I instructed them - by email - to call me at home
and gave them a phone number and best time to call.
Instead of a phone call, I got an email from "Catherine"
with a POORLY WRITTEN AND CONDESCENDING apology
AND explicit instructions on how to send to her - BY EMAIL - all of my CONFIDENTIAL account information
so she could access my account! That is not going to happen. - This is still not resolved.
