Virgin Mobile sold me a phone, telling me that service was guaranteed in my area or they would refund my money. When the phone arrived I found there to be no signal. I called Virgin Mobile and they told me to walk around outside until I got a signal and then it would "purge" and I would receive a signal anywhere in my area. This did not work, I drove a 10 mile radius around my town and never received a signal. I sent the phone back and when I called virgin to report this they told me to give them my debit card number so they could refund my money. The following day I checked my checking account and instead of refunding 159.99 I was charged 159.99. I called virgin right away and they told me that they did not charge my card and that the person I gave my credit card information to was not a Virgin employee. I called my bank and was told and have proof that Virgin Mobile did charge my account. Virgin mobile now owes me $319.98 for my refund for the phone that was sent back to them and the 159.99 they stole from my checking account. I filed charges against Virgin Mobile with the police in Yavapai county with Sgt. C.J. Myhre case # 04-043090 Phone 928-771-3260 and also had to report my card # stolen to my bank.I also filed charges with the FCC complaint # 9553271

I hope you can please help stop these people from committing fraud against other people, the person at Virgin Mobile who took my credit card number is Joel, employee # JRINDERKNECT the refund activity report that he gave me was 1-37bwnrg. The other people at Virgin Mobile who told me that they did not charge my account and now refuse to replace the stolen money or give me a refund on my phone are, Carmen, Jacob and Robin, when I asked all three for there employee ID's all three told me they don't have employee ID's. These people also claim to all be supervisors for Virgin Mobile.

Virgin Mobile didnt rip you off because the employees there dont have employee numbers, i.d.'s, tags, anything like that. They just go through training, answer the phones and do the best they can. Whoever took your credit card info was not an employee of Virgin Mobile and even if they were they probably got arrested. Everything is monitored.

Curious... you should definately go to your bank first

Alright - first, to the poster of this complaint - I agree with nicole that you should definately go to your bank first. Second, if you had ordered this phone online or through an AYS advisor, You should have gotten an order number for both times it had to be shipped (to you and then back to our distrobution center), and that is what you must provide our advisors with to get the most thorough and accurate information on you transactions with the company. Finally, to Nicole of spokane, you of all people should know that; A: All AYS advisors cannot transfer calls between centers. It is possible for an advisor to transfer a call to another advisor using the aspect ID#, but without good reason this is considered internal data fraud and is grounds for termination. B: Colorado Springs advisors rock, Spokane advisors rock as well, and having worked for both centers myself, I have realized that we cannot base the few issues we have with service on what call center a person is in, but upon the simple fact that 1 out of every 40 reps hired by ICT is totally incompetant, unless it is the holidays, then it is more like 1 out of every 3. Well nicole, good luck in Spokane - and if you ever decide to come back to the VMU project, please come to Colorado Springs to see for yourself that the center is not bad at all. Back to your complaint, Jason - As some else said, it is entirely possible that the three people you spoke to were supervisors. And it is true that we are not issued public employee IDs. As a matter of fact, that one you got for Joel is called a "Login ID" for the program used on the comuters at the call centers. There is only one person who should know that login, and it is Joel. It can only be used to see that he had access to your account at one point in time. there are only 6 people in the entire country that can do something else with that information, which is why it is totally useless to you. Again, what you need to do is get your orignal order number and your RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number and give us a call back with this information so we can further assist you.

First of all to the first complaint the IF you were charged all you had to do was call your bank. What kind of phone did you have some don't get a great signal. You could have exchanged it. Thanks to the second writer it's nice to see that some people DO appreciate the hard work we do to make customers happy. Only your info is a little off. We only have two (2) call centers. One is in Spokane and the other is in Colorado Springs. By the way when you call, if you get Col. Springs ask to be transfered up to Spokane, we were trained much better and actually care. Good luck. To the first author, it wasn't REALLY stolen now was it, you gave VM the number they just screwed up and charged instead of debited. (about the person not being an employee...you're lying and you know it security is INSANE no one could get into those buildings without being an employee). Oh and could it have possibly been a bank fuc* up? They do it all the time you know! Idiots! Sometimes I wonder about some of these people! Did you buy your phone from a store? If you did THEY NEED TO REFUND YOU NOT VM!

I have never heard of anything like that from Virgin Mobile. I have one of their phones but it is a pre-paid phone. Virgin Mobile never sends a phone of theirs in the mail, you have to buy them from a registered dealer. And also about the work order number that they gave was false. Since a real work order like the one I had was more like 3ss6-eey1. That is the number that I got from them. And also the 3 people that you spoke too could very well be a supervisor but Virgin Mobile has many help centers throughout the United States. The last I heard was they had about 296.
