Visalus Body by ViVisalus Sciences shady business finds ways to make it hard for you to cancel Internet
On or about July 2014, my wife and I opted to try the 90-day challenge by Body by Vi, and signed up for a 90 day trial of Visalus Meal replacements. I signed up for both my wife and I over the phone and gave the Visalus rep my credit card information. During the trial period, I read the numerous negative reviews of Visalus and their alleged pyramid scheme, and so decided not to continue after the 90 days. I only agreed to 90 days and expected that the autoshipment would stop at the end of the trial period. But based on the numerous negative reviews, I decided to make sure the orders were cancelled and went onlineand cancelled the orders. A month after I cancelled the orders, I observed a charge from Visalus for $110.99. I immediately emailed Visalus and advised that this was an error. I contacted Visalus on the morning of Monday, 10/20/14, and advised the again that this was error. I was told that it appeared that no orders were being sent to me and this may have been a banking error. I contacted Visalus again in the evening of 10/20/14, and was advised that the order could not be cancelled because it had already been sent out. I tried to reason with the rep and tried to explain that I had placed the original order for both my wife and I for the 90-day-trial, and that I had cancelled the entire Vi shipments. The Visalus rep refused to listen to reason or work with me and simply repeated over and over that there was nothing she could do. I wish I would have listened to the numerous people on the various message boards about the shady practices by Vi. Now I will have to cancel my debit card because I can't trust them with by debit card information. There are so many negative reviews of Visalus and they have a very poor reputation regarding issues such as these, I just wish I would have researched them before I placed the first order.
