Where do I begin with these guys? I guess it all started back in 2008 when I had to have my engine replaced because they had been putting the wrong oil in the car. Even after that, they still put in the wrong oil even though I requested that they don't even go near the oil (I had brought it in for other reasons). Then my car stopped starting -it would start intermittently- but they never took the time to properly diagnose it. I had to bring it in 3 times over the course of 1.5 years and do all my own research to tell them where the probelm was coming from. Come to find out, my brake lights only worked some of the time which begs the question- how did they pass the NYS inspection? I think the NYS DMV regulatory board would like to hear about that one. Anyway, when the brakes wouldn't register (that they were being pressed), the start button wouldn't work. The problem is all over the internet but Nissan Corp has yet to issue a recall. Seems like a safety issue to me. They finally (after I told them) figured out why the car would only start sometimes- but now, of course it's no longer under warranty and they want $500 to fix the problem. You would think that they would have record of my having brought it in but they declined any record of me bringing it in for that issue whatsoever. They quickly backpettled when I produced a receipt from them stating the problem and the mechanics result (and thay I had brought it in previously for the same problem). The conclusion is 1 of 2 things here. Either they have very poor record keeping or they are blatent liars. Neither is a good thing to have to admit to. Oh, and let's not forget the time I brought it in for a rattle coming from the front end. They ended up replacing all 4 tires to the tune of $700. Only after they did that did they find the real cause of the problem- a broken coil spring that would cost an additional $600. Since the new tires were already on the car, they couldn't put my old ones back on (which were fine) and fix the spring. I would have to pay for both or leave with just the new tires. Seems pretty fishy. I don't want to think that these guys are purposly being deceitful, but you can only point to that sign so many times before you realize what they really are.
