Vonage ripoff Holmdel New Jersey
i signed up via telephone w/vonage broadband in april, 2005. cancelled, mailed their equipment back to them. e-mailed them to cancel also received confirmation of termination but this company continued to receive monthly payments from my account.
Bank will not stop payment states it is a courtesy and suggested that i contact the company. as of yesterday jan.24, 2006 terminated again by a person calling himself rohan, given account#1002855204. referred me to website to view my bill after informing me i will receive payment of 250.16. what shall i do.

I completely understand the frustration. I am in the same boat as everyone else in America who had Vonage. They are nothing but a scam. They suck you in and then screw you over.

I had a problem with a company continuing to withdraw money from my personal checking accont after I had discontinued service. Had the same problem as you did cocerning my checking account. My bank told me they couln't stop the withdraws but could put a stop to it by closing out my checking account and opening a new account in the same day with them. It worked. The company called me within 2 days upset that my checking was closed. Have never been refunded for the 2 payments they took thought after service was terminated that they promised to refund.
