Waffle House Blount County, Tennessee, Poor Service, Poor Management, Bugs crawling everywhere ripoff Alcoa Tennessee
The waffle house on Alcoa Highway is terrible. The last time I went they said that they were out of hash-browns. That would be like Arby's being out of roast beef or Captain D's being out of fish. This ridiculous.
The waitress said tht we could substitute a waffle instead. The cost of a waffle on the menu is $1.80. The cost of hash-browns is $2.30. 50 cents difference. i told her that if she would just give me a piece of pie instead then we would call it even. A piece of pie costs $1.75. She told me that would be pushing it. After arguing with her about howthe piece of pie is actually less and the hash-browns are actually more, I just went for the waffle.
While waiting on my food, all these workers wanted to do was talk on the phone and visit with their friends and family in the back booth. As I was waiting, A large roach went running across the table. I had had enough of the waffle house that night. I just got everything to go and left. I threw the waffle out to my dogs. They didn't even want to eat it. It was still in the yard the next morning.
I spoke with a friend of mine about the situation the other day and he told me that the Waffle House on Alcoa Highway had actually been shut down by the Health Dept. for a period of time until they got their problems corrected. Evidentally they are back open now.
I'LL NEVER EAT AT THE WAFFLE HOUSE ON ALCOA HIGHWAY AGAIN! I ENJOY MY LIFE TOO MUCH! THEIR RESTERAUNT IS FILTHY AND THEIR SERVICE IS VERY POOR!

The Waffle House is just a last resort for hunger when there's nothing else open. I'd rather go down the street to Krystals anyways. I've seen some pretty nasty stuff in the waffle house too like bugs. One time I got a hamburger and cooked hard to the outside of the beef patty was a crispy stink bug. They cooked me another one.
