Wagner-Dean is the same scam as Bernard Haldane. Same story, different company name!!!!

I too went to Wagner-Dean and was taken advantage of. I paid him $695 up-front for his "service". He did nothing that I couldn't have done myself. He took my 2 page professional resume and turned it into a 1 page unprofesssional resume. I was shown a file of resumes just like my by a recuiter I worked with yet Harry claimes he does a "CUSTOM" resume for you.

He then went to broadcastaresume.com and signed up with them for resume distribution! $99 to send out 1000 resumes! I could have done that myself. I ask him to stop sending my resumes becuase they were going out without cover letters and going to just the ads in the paper - which I could have found myself. I was not solely relying on him to find me a job so I too was sending resumes to these ads - I thought he would be sending them to personal contacts he has!!!

He claims to have contacts to help you find a job - the hidden job market as he calls it. That is not true. Harry Wagner does not have any contacts that can help you get a job. Save your money! He has also failed to ever produce a list of where he sent my resume and to whom. He doesn't know because he never sent anything out for me!!!

The interview strategies that he says he will teach you is information you can get by going to Monster.com or one of the other FREE job boards and looking in the career advice area. This training consists of him going through this notebook he gives you when you bring him your hard earned money.

He also provides contact information for 200 hiring companies in Dallas/Fort Worth and all this is the "Top 200 Companies in Dallas" published in the Dallas Morning News newspaper each year. You can either subscribe to the paper or go to the library to get this information.

When I met with Harry he told me that he only accepts 2 clients a day - which would calculate to 10 new victims a week. He charges everyone different amounts depending on what he thinks you will pay. If he is getting a minimum of $500 per victim, he is scaming in about $20,000 PER MONTH taking advantage of unemployed people. People who need their money during this sorry economy.

Don't give him your money because it will not help you get a job! This company needs to be put out of business.

If you are considering using Wagner-Dean or have been burned by him please file your own RIp-off Report so we can work together to put him out of business.

The post by Paul, another Wagner victim, on 12/14/02 regarding Harry Wagner is ALL TRUE. Everything Paul said is true and we will work together to put Wagner-Dean out of business.

When Marian came to us in early 2002 she wanted to achieve a position in telecommunications. She had a degree in Dental Hygiene and Public Health but did not want to be in that field. We told her that the search would be difficult because of the depressed market in Telecommunications but agreed to market her. We wrote a great resume for Ms. Marian that she proof-read and edited over night and said that it was great and ready to go. We spent one on one time improving her interview skills. We presented over 5000 of her resumes to companies that fit the Telecommunications profile on her behalf. Ms. Swank had contacts but no offers. Ms. Swank became very upset at the length of time her campaign was taking and became very negative. We are sorry that we were not successful in marketing Ms. Marina. We would have continued to market her until we were successful but she told us to stop. The job market has been very very difficult and was especially so in 2002 when we were marketing her.
