I or rather my Mother has been RIPPED OFF for over a yr by WALMART CONNECT. She and I have both have called them on a continuous basis since 2003 to have the service discontinued.

I did recieve a total of 40 dollars back but they still owe for over a year of service and I feel that they owe her (my mom) for nsf funds she had to pay out when Wal mart Connect drafted their fee out of the account it caused an over draft. They charged her 14.95 but only returned 10.00 for the month they returned. I called and asked why they only returned 10.00 of the 14.95 and they said it was their charge for debiting the bank. I asked why was that returned when it was not supposed to be taken from the account since it had been cancelled and i was informed that it was policy.

I called in December of 2005 and they returbed 20.00 and when i asked about the rest I was told that they had no records older than 6 months. They could only pay 6 months return. I replied that the 20.00 hardly covered 6 months. I might as well have not spoken as he then launched into a spiel about using their service piggy back with the cable co.

The man I talked to said he would authorise the 20.00 and said I would then need to contact the billing office. I have called everyday for 2 months and have yet to get any straight answers from the billing dept.

I was told that the service was disconnected and that much is true. I threatened them with a lawyer. That worked. The lawyer threat has not worked for the return of the rest which includes the nsf charges and months that it was not used.

I think it is very unfair of a company as big as Wal Mart to allow this to continue. I did notice that they have netscape and AOL now as their internet providers.

I also would like to say that my mother is on social security and is disabled and cannot afford this loss.

I have dealt with this company for almost 2 yrs now and have heard the same spiel from all the customer service reps. I have been lied to and I think its time someone steps in and stops this and has the money returned to the customer.

I am hoping that someone can help stop this and get my Moms money back.

Thank you

Kat

Is to go to your bank and have the account number changed, that's right close the account and open another, be sure to ask if debits will automaticly be transfered to the new account, and if they say "Yes," either make sure they will not automaticly transfered or change banks. Words and promises mean absolutely nothing, after you do either close the account, or change banks expect to recieve dunning letters "You haven't paid this account"
