Wal-Mart aka Walmart aka Wal Mart Deception Bettle in can of Spinach FDA approves percentages of waste in products Brandon Florida
On May 19, 2003 my mother-in-law and I purchased 2 cans of GREAT VALUE SPINACH. We opened one of the cans that evening for dinner. My daughter, father-in-law and me ate this Spinach. However, on my second bite I discovered in my mouth a japanese beetle. I called the store and spoke to the manager, BRIAN, who informed me they did not carry that can because he could not locate the UPC number.
Later that evening my mother-in-law went to the store and spoke to JIM EVANS who told her to freeze the bug and that they would keep the can. Jim called me the next day and gave me a claim number and that I would hear from someone in the next few days.
I spoke to DON in Oklahoma at their Claims Department. I called the FDA to file a complaint and to learn about percentages of waste in proccessed products. Apparently, canning companies are allowed by the FDA to have a certain percentage of miniscule amount of bugs in their products. T
This bug itself exceeds the 12mm amount per 24lbs. The investigator explained to me they cannot proceed with their protocol because I don't have the can.
PLEASE SAVE ALL CONTAMINATED PRODUCTS. Don't return them to the store.

my sister-in-law got a can of green beans from a large food chain. the can was made by a popular company. when they opened it it had a very bad smell and they found something that looked like parts of a very large rat. they called the store and was told to birng in the can and its contents. and they would get back to them later. they refused. then they called the company that made the greenbeans and was told to send in the whole thing to them and they would see what it was. she sent them a small part and wrote down the lot nunber for them. if sh had of gave up the whole thing to either one of the places she would have been told there was nothing they could do. she is taking it to a lawyer.
