I cancelled my online service with Wal-Mart over 2 years ago and they are still taking the money out of my bank every month!

I shop every week at a Wal-Mart store and due to sloppy bookkeeping on my part I hadn't noticed that the same amount was coming out month after month. I only noticed it when I was checking about another problem with my internet banking.

I called Wal-Mart Connect (overseas rep. answered of course), and through her broken English she related to me that she would need a number of answers from me before she could help me. none of the answers I gave her were enough and in frustration I hung up. She could not access my account with name, bank account, telephone #, or address!!!! Incredible!

Something has to be done about this! At this point my husband and I are contacting our bank, the BBB, and the Wal-Mart office in Arkansas. Also we are filing complaints with our regional tv station's consumer watch dog reporter, and our daily newspaper in Chattanooga to see if a little bad press will help. If none of this works we are calling our state's attorney general - we may do it regardless.

Wal-Mart owes us over $230.00! It may not sound like much, but with that money we could make a monthly car payment, pay all our utilities for a month, an auto insurance payment, save it...etc. It is a lot to us! We know if we are experencing this, others are too.

walmart connect has taken another payment out of my bank for the month of june '06!! they will not listen! I called them and they told me several lies on the phone! they stated that 'someone' had reactivated the account by double clicking on the walmart connect icon on my computer!! what an incredible lie! first of all,I don't even have walmart connect on my computer, and wouldn't it be criminal to start a service back up without my consent? then the rep stated that they could not disconnect without my husband on the phone! that's not what they said a month ago! I gave them the disconnect conf. # that I was given last month when I called, but to no avail. the rep would not even accept the number! she insisted that my husband be on the phone! when he got on the phone that's when she stated again that he or someone had reactivated the account. My husband and I have made a dozen calls and emails this morning about this. when will someone listen? we have contacted our state's consumer affairs department.....they are sending out a complaint form to fill out......we have sent in the forms for our TV consumer reporter to do a story....we have contacted walmart district offices...(waiting on a call back from them)...we have emailed our regional newspaper consumer reporter. I have indeed stopped shopping at walmart stores, walmart.com, and certainly never want anything else to do with walmart connect.
