My daughter got her oil changed at Wal-Mart. After driving 20 miles the oil had leaked out and the engine seized up. Wal-Mart's agent, Claimes Management, admitted responsibility after an examination by a Wal-Mart employee and said they would fix the engine.

After receiving a quote from Saturn to provide a rebuilt engine they instructed Saturn to install a used engine CMI had found in a junkyard. They claim that this constituted fair restitution since my dauguter's engine was used. How ridiculous. They made this specious argument that if they rebuilt the existing engine it would be better than the engine was prior to Wal-Mart's obvious imcompetence. The engine should be restored, not replaced with a "junker" of unknown suitability.

Simple Solution To This Problem: Stop Taking Your Cars To Walmart For An Oil Change. Almost every day someone is posting about how Walmart has destroyed their car/truck and then they b***h about how bad Walmart treats them afterward. I agree with Brent on this one though. Take your vehicle somewhere else watch them change your oil and check the level of the oil before you leave, when you get home and now and then after. Good luck.
