I have first hand knowledge of this story because my friend told me about this.
Daniel was hired in as a Photo Lab Specialist and things were going great. Meanwhile, Lynn Reed was a store manager at 2 different stores before coming to the North Clinton Store around November 2002. Walgreens was fully aware of the problem with Lynn Reed, but yet failed to address.
Among the problems - I visited the store numerous times between 2001-2005 to get film ready. 6 times between 2002-2003, the photo lab specialist, including one time that Daniel was there, they were in the Cosmetic Department or at the Front. I waited about 5 minutes for someone to appear in the photo lab to take my order all 6 times. Every single time they failed to provide me with service.
Now for those that agrue that Daniel works for Walgreens and they can place him anywhere THEY want, I am a customer who wants a service done. Any employee should be working for the customer.
Here were the issues on why that: I saw a lot of turnover at that store and they kept calling Daniel every single time because either
1) Some teenager was there for 2 weeks and left OR
2) Some woman eas on materity leave and that forced the photo lab specialist out of lab and up front or
3) They were losing product in the cosmetic asile or
4) ANY OR ALL OF THE ABOVE!
Daniel was getting sick and tired of being disrespected by management because they did not care about the customer or providing a great service, instead they were worried about the all mighty dollar! Going from Lynn Reed to Mike Tomic, all the way up to Jeff Rein and David Bruenner.
I encouraged him to leave that job because it was destorying him, it was giving him depression, he was very miserable and I felt like I was going to lose a friend. And Daniel wanted to leave, but thanks to that lying family of Jean and Carolyn Westrick, they too were all worried about the almighty dollar more than his health! Which is why he had no choice, but to do what he did so that he can live.
And because of all of that, he has PTSD, Depression, and Aniexty. Walgreens almost killed my friend and a very good person.

There Is no justice for anyone In this country, and these crook managers always get away with treating people wrong so they continue to ruin peoples lives.

Must be feeling very guilty to bring something back up from late 2005, thats like five years and some change?
There is no truth here at all. Almost all the reports look like they're done by the same person.

Okay, let me first set the record. I was the Daniel that responded to the Lynn Reed Store Thing. It was my comments that lead to my firing 5 Days before Christmas. I believed that I was responding to an incident that happen at that time in a manner that was not professional of me and in the process Walgreens was right to fire me.
Do I still believe that Lynn Reed is a bad store manager - YES, because she is not focus on providing great customer service, because her and Mike Tomic's thinking is we have to protect $100K worth of costemics and not service someone in the photo lab and the people she hired were teenagers that needed to be vetted a little more.
Do I believe that Lynn Reed is a racist - NO! Do I believe that Lynn Reed swears - NO! Did this incident happen - NO! Because I just found out a couple of days ago through a great friend of mine that IT WAS MY LITTLE SISTER CAROLYN WESTRICK with approval of her MOTHER JEAN WESTRICK that hacked into my e-mail account, stole my information and typed up this false report so that they could get me fired.
I will write to Walgreens to advised them of what happened and to apoligze for what happened

I went in to the North Clinton Store on Wednesday to drop off film and to have Daniel, the photo lab guy, delevope my film. Daniel has done a great job on my film before. But, Daniel was not there! Which was unusual. He might have been sick or something. (I did not even approach the photo counter when he was not there) I just got something and left. So, on Thursday, I ran into him (Daniel) at another store (NOT WALGREENS). So, I asked him why he was not there and he told me that he was FIRED. I asked him why and he said it was all because of LYNN REED. Then I remember the times that I would go into that Store when LYNN REED was store manager at North Clinton and they had no one up at the photo lab, Daniel at the front register, and yet when I complain to Lynn Reed and the District Manager, they told me that they had to cover cosmetics. I wanted to ask why having someone over in cosmetics then to service me in photo. She told me in a nasty manner that it was "NONE OF MY BUSINESS." She was rude, so I called the District Manager Mike Tomic and he told me the same thing that it was none of my business. So, I waited until Walgreens changed management. Then I came back and Daniel did the best job ever. BUT SINCE DANIEL HAS BEEN FIRED, I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO WALGREENS AGAIN! I notice this report and decided to add my two cents. IF LYNN REED WAS THAT BAD AT THAT STORE and she would not answer my question in a nice manner, WHY DID THEY FIRE THE PHOTO LAB GUY? Would it have made more sense to fire LYNN REED and not the PHOTO LAB GUY. I THINK WALGREENS MADE THE WORSE DECISION BY LETTING THIS GREAT PHOTO LAB GUY GO. WALGREENS, YOU WILL NEVER SEE ME IN YOUR STORES AGAIN! YOU HAVE LOST ONE CUSTOMER AND YOU WILL LOSE MORE BECAUSE YOU LET THE WRONG PERSON GO! I WILL TELL MY FRIENDS NOT TO SHOP AT WALGREENS!

To both people that responded to my complaint; thank you for the suggestions. The candy tag was the same thing, but I will remember to bring the manager with me next time. As to the other, I have already told my friends not to shop there!

Here is what happened, you ended up shopping at the LYNN REED DRUG STORE. On the outside, it does say Walgreens, but on the inside is anything but. I have complain numerous times about her treatment of employees, not having anyone in the photo lab to take my film order, having the Photo Lab Speicalist at the front register or in cosmetics because they are short, the Front Register person being rude, wrong prices, not giving me a refund and got nowhere. I even talk to the district manager, who was Mike Tomic and he did nothing. I even tried corporate and what happened. I learned that the Photo Lab Speicalist got written up for bad customer service. It was not the Photo Lab Speicalist that had the problem, it was LYNN REED. As far as the Photo Lab Speicalist, I think he was getting punished for all of my complaints, which was sad (LYNN and MIKE's excuse was "They had to cover cosmetics" which I did not buy because Cosmetics was not that busy!) If you want to know who put her there, it was Mike Tomic and thank god, I learned now that he is gone. What I ended up doing, was waited until the LYNN REED DRUGSTORE converted back to a WALGREENS (LYNN REED GONE), then went back and I never been more happier with Walgreens since then. The staff has been great, and when the Photo Lab Speicalist is up at the front register, a manager is in the photo lab and the Photo Lab Speicalist stays up at the front regisiter and let the front regisiter person go over to cosmetics, unless it's another guy. As to the person that responded with that suggestion to take the manager over with you, I tried that with Lynn Reed and it got me nowhere. My suggestion would be, to call you neighbors, e-mail them, do whatever it takes and tell them NOT TO SHOP AT THAT STORE ANYMORE, PERIOD. That will teach her a lesson not to mess with customers and not to tick them off and let them go to CVS or another Walgreens. It is your dollar, you have the right not to spend that dollar at the LYNN REED DRUGSTORE, but at a Walgreens. And I would start sending the e-mail now, because the holidays are coming up, and the holidays can make a store or break a store.

Although I will agree that the manager's behavior was uncalled for. The next time you have a dispute about a price on the sign make sure to take the manager with you. I've done that on several occasions and it always works. (Especially when the manager accused me of moving the item, (even though the shelf or whatever was full of the item.))
