I went to get oil change and tire rotation in may 2002. A couple hours later I had to go on the highway about 30 miles out. I had gone at night and my light kept coming on like something leaking, off and on.

Then all of the sudden it stayed on and started losing power to drive and slowed down and died to the point where it stopped, and thank god on the side of the highway.

I was first of all not in a safe part of town, and my phone was not working to well in that location. I called my boyfriend and he was nearby and came. He went to go get oil at a gas station and see if maybe my car will start again. When he put the oil in, it came right out underneath the car.

At this point we had to call a towing service. The service cost $100,and we waited about 30 mins. They towed back to our place. Stranded we had to rely on my mom to pick us up the following day to take us to walmart.

We went in there mad and talked to the auto manager and explained what happend. He gave us the run around and said we had to call the insurance company and see what they could do about. Its so hard to get a hold of someone just so I can get a rental car.

Finally I get a rental car, since the engine was ruined on my new car. So I had no car for a few days and a piece of crap rental and then I had to wait a week to get a replacement engine for the one that walmart ruined.

Walmart sucks and I will never go there again because they don't know what they are doing or care for the quality of their work!

for you driving your car after the oil light came on and continued to drive untill the car died that was your mistake not there's. If the oil light did not come on then I would agree with you but no company should be responsable for people's ignorance and I'm surprized that the warentee covers driver stupidity.

If you don't like their service, Go to a dealership, heck, the Chevy dealer that I take my car to for oil changes is cheaper than Walmart anyway, and they do the COMPLETE service. Any WalleyWorld TLE I've gone to never vaccums or lubes the chassis on your car, my car was getting so SQUEEKY when I hit bumps that I had to do that myself even though I paid Walmart to do it..... Just take it elsewhere, geez, it's not like Walmart is a dealer or a service center, they don't know wtf they're doing, get it in, get it out, and get paid diddly **** just like everyone else, for $7-$8-$9 an hour, you don't get the cream of the crop, why does everyone expect to pay the lease and get the best? Why don't I pay for some cheap hamburger and expect some porterhouse steaks out of the deal? Take it to a dealership, they more or less have to stand by their work.

EDitor's Comment ... hope you do not represent the position of Wal-Mart executives

Hey Jay,

Making mistakes and admitting it is one thing, but when you try to hide it by giving your victims the run around, you just victimize them further and tend to piss them off even more.

I hope you do not represent the position of Wal-Mart executives. I am sure that they would be very interested to know how poorly you treat your customers in Bloomington Indiana.

I know that they read this site and you can expect some house cleaning at your location in the very near future. You are exactly what a successful business does not need and are a poor representation of this company.

ok, i work for a tire and lube express that has about 8 techs. we service about 100 cars a day. that is 700 cars a week and so on and so on. we had 1 clame against us last year. it happens to every company. if you service thousands of cars a year you have to expect there will be some mistakes made. are u perfect? i do not think so. we did not become a multi-billion dollor business for nothing. we knew what we were doing. if you had a bad time at the tire and lube express, no one cares because there literally hundreds of thousands of satisfied customers a year. any other business in the world has there mistakes and make people unhappy. so i do not feel sorry for you. cry cry cry.
