Walmart tire and Lube Express; What a joke!! Don't let them change the oil in your car, unless you don't care about throwing your money down the drain ...for that is exactly what you do there. They may actually change your oil, but lube your car?? Hah!!! They don't check fluids in your transmission or differentials and they don't grease all fittings under your vehicle (driveshafts, tie rods, etc) I know this for a fact because I got underneath my car and checked after getting home...the check plugs on the differentials still were caked with dirt (which if they took them off the wrench would have taken most of the dirt off) and the grease fittings on the driveshafts (4-wheel drive SUV) were in the same shape, dirt on them, and when I greased them they took a whole lot of grease which tells me Walmart doesn't do jack crap at any oil change and lube job. I don't know if it's ignorance or just plain laziness; but be real carefull where you take your car for service and make sure they'll allow you in the bay also so you can watch and make sure the workers do the job!

Serious allegations of fraud--must be reported for investigation

Roger,

Your allegations of fraud in the Wal-Mart TLE bays are very serious. I suggest you go to Wal-Mart.com and write a letter to the president. This is information that you cannot sit on; it is your civic duty to the consumer to alert the Wal-Mart Home Office. The same goes for Chef in Pineville, MO.

Don't even try to say that the letter to the president will do no good. I know for a fact that any letter to the president at Wal-Mart that alleges fraud will launch an internal investigation.

Wal-Mart pays attention to the consumer and its own associates on this type of information.

Please don't shrug it off, if there is a rogue associate running business badly you must report it.

Good Luck,

well lets take a look at arkansas the home of walmart arkansas has chosen to remove the requirement of the automobile safty inspection
required by most states befor you can get tags.
arkansas dosent care about its resadents or visitors safty. theye will inform you tho that if you are pulled over for or are in a wreck and your car dosent have every thing in working order the fine will be large. this same lack of concern is evadent in the auto repaire bays not only at walmart but in many shops across arkansas. you and i are just another piggy bank to rob its all about money. i say if you cant stand next to your car and watch the person whos working on it dont let them work on it. now that person should have said really show me this nonrepairable tire and let me make the call as to patch or replace. people its time to make your own desisions.
if theye say its going to take 2 hours to change a tire say ok thank you but ill go some where else
ask them how long its going to take. by the way i like that idea of removing the air filter im going to try that some time and im going to have the manager standing there when i pop the hood and show him/her the empty hole that dident need a filter.

I once worked for walmart tire and lube express. And I'll tell you that they realy are a bunch of cheats! We were told to not admite to doing any damege to a vehical, to document the damage as being there prior to service, so they would not have to loose any money on having to pay for repairs.

Its true, they dont check every thing they are suposed to, they save time doing this and can get more cars in this way. And there tire protection plan, what a joke!

Most of the tires they sale are factory rejects, and just try to get them to replace them. They will charge you to replace them, for the new tire, and for a valve stem, even if you bought the tire two weeks ago. If you have a vehical with lub fitting and transaxals to greas, dont count on them to do it.

My manager once claimd to check a air filter on a car, and said it was good, the costomer had told them to replace it if it needed to be. Well, when the costomer got the car back and asked if the air filter was good he was told that it was. The customer, with a suprised look on his face, said, "Thats funny, cause i removed the filter befor I brought the car in!" The customer was then accused of lying, and taking out the filter after the oil change. I was sent out side to check it and I screws to the filter had not been removed, and they told me not to say a word to the customer, I put a new filter in for him and they charged him for it, he then requsted to have me pull the car in and recheck it over! I got in truble and they sent the car back out and told the customer that they had no time to do this, he had already been in and they had other customers to take care of! once a customer came in for a rotation and balence, i noticed a nail in one of his tires, i told my boss to tell the customer about it.

He said were busy and dont have time to do a flat repair on it. He then came back and told me to put a new tire on it, he had talked to the customer and they wanted a new tire. when i whent inside to get the tire the customer stoped me and asked how badly damaged the tire was, I told him the trueth and said "Its not realy bad, just a surface puncher and was very easaly repaired!" thats when i learned that my boss had told them it was not repairable or road safe, i told him i asure you it is repairable and very road safe! I later got yelled at for just repairing the tire not replacing it and for telling the customer something differenent then he had, that he was the boss not my not to do it again! I could give four years of thes type of exaples. I urge people DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO ANY WALMART SERVICE STATIONS! unless you dont care about your car!!!!!
