SEXUAL HARRASSMENT That's what hugging someone who does not want to be touched/hugged can file a suit on. NO company is going to take the chance, that's why the rules are in place to limit the amount of contact between co-workers and especially between employees and customers. I have been helped by a lot of very friendly workers, including at Walmart, that have been great but have not hugged me. Hugs are for family, close friends, lovers...not for work. Some places even have rules on "public displays of affection" to include holding hands and things like that. Bottom line: when you work some where and violate a company policy, you'll be disciplined or fired for it. No rip off, nothing illegal, no court case...just the way it is.

but the excessive "hugging" thing is kinda creepy. If I worked there, I would have complained myself. For all you know, the people you allegedly asked were being polite and agreed but turned around and complained behind your back. Not too man people want to be fondled at their job on a daily basis.

i think whoever fires people for hugging and puts that as a policy is obviously dumb and that employee that gets fired for that reason should have the right to sue the company and make that company give u that job back. because not only did walmart have that as a policy but they also did not want anyone of the employees to communicate with customers, or other employees in the store. even when someone asks for help. the managers never allow the associates to help customers or other employees. The point is they don't want employees to be friendly even though it's the law. They have to be friendly there inorder to succeed. and by them being friendly they should have the freedom to do whatever the employee thinks is best to show how friendly they are to one another. even if it meens hugging while working still. they should still be allowed to do that especially at work on the clock too. on the clock or off the clock it should still be allowed. if it isn't then what kindof company are they running. Psychiatrists are allowed to hug one another. So if they are allowed then walmart should allow associates to hug one another too if they want. If they don't and they wind up seeing that walmart is being so foolish they're going to wanta quit working there and next thing u know that employee that quits could actually go around telling everyone that they should never work for walmart and next thing u know that'll result wal-mart to go out of business. because they are showing discriminations to other people. Which is something i'm willing to help people with. I'm willing to help those people that were discriminated by wal-marts junk by suing walmart over this discrimination and getting them to change all policys around so this way it's fair for the customers and staff that shop and work there together. I was raised to be a hero and I wanta prove that to the world. of how great of a hero i can become. by doing this for everyone. really.

Every busines has policies in effect for their employees. Such things as type of acceptable clothing, where you can park, can you use your cell phone, etc. Most companies will have a "do not touch" rule especially if the employee is touching a customer. While hugs can be great between friends, when you're on the clock you're there do work, not to associate with your friends. I have worked for several different companies with my wife, and some with our daughter. We did just fine, because when we were at work, on the clock it was business. Any family interaction needed was done outside of work. I wish you well in the future, but anywhere you work is going to have rules/policies that you have to go by or you can be fired.

Antibiotics that require no stress, especially from Walmart? Those are pretty specific pills. Do they have some for every major company? The point being, I can understand if the doctor told you it would be better if you have no stress, however the doctor can not write a "no stress prescription" for Walmart to follow. If your doctor was that concerned about your stress level, then they should have written you a medical excuse for time off work. That would have allowed you to take a few days to try to get your health better wothout worrying about going to work. As for the hugging: at one company I worked for they had rules on the types of jokes that could be told, nothing off-color, nothing demeaning to women/minorities/etc. Even if I asked someone if they personally minded or were offended by those types of jokes and they said no, if I told one of these jokes I could still have been fired for violating company policy. If the Walmart you work at has a "no hugging/touching" policy if effect, it doesn't matter that you hug your friend who doesn't mind or a complete stranger- just the act of the hug itself is against company policy and you can be fired for that. Again I think it's great you back your friends up, but I don't see where you have any lawsuit with the information provided.

well the thing is Wal-Mart thinks that they had the evidence of me hugging customers and employees that I was close to. And I always asked that person I was hugging if that was ok. They all said sure. Wal-Mart took it the wrong way around just so they can just fire me off the spot. They have done that to millions and millions of people around and I felt threatened by it. Because I have feelings for the people that have been offended by Wal-Mart's rediculous policies. And I wanta help these people by making Wal-Mart get it right. But the antibiotics that the doctor put me on required me to not take stress from anyone especially Wal-Mart. and Wal-Mart failed to listen to what my doctor told me to tell them it left me no choice but to file a lawsuit against the store and press charges against them. Wal-Mart of East Windsor has lied about everything before.

I'm sorry to hear about your hearing loss. I have hearing loss myself so I know how it is. However I have some questions about your report. #1. How is stress and not listening to walmart fire you suppose to help an ear infection? Usually they are treated with antibiotics. Also what kind of medical advice is it for a doctor to tell you not to listen to your work? Sounds kinda strange to me. #2. Walmart can fire you for any reason. Yes, if it is because of the hearing loss AND they make the mistake of giving you proof of that then you would have a lawsuit against them. But just because you have a disability does not mean that they can not fire you for other reasons. But exactly what reason did they give you for firing you? Did it have something to do with hugging poeple? If so was it other employees or customers? Because this could be considered assault, some people don't like to be touched. #3. How exactly are you going to sue Walmart for harrassing other who post on websites like this? Unless you can get qualified as a class action suit, you can not sue for someone else. #4. Exactly what discriminatory actions were taken against your family? And how are this actions discrimination? #5. As for your friends Blake and Christina, I'm sorry to hear what happened to them and I respect you for sticking up for a freind. But again, you can not sue Walmart for what happened to them. I hope everything turns out okay for you, but I'm not sure that I see much of a case in your report for suing Walmart. But good luck with it. Hopefully if you do file and win, you get some of the money and it isn't taken by your lawyer.
