Warranty Activation Headquarters DECEIVED and treated like GARBAGE! St. Louis Missouri
I have never been treated so horribly by a company in my entire life! I was contacted by Warranty Activation Headquarters that our warranty with the dealer was about to expire and to renew with them. They told me that the warranty was a bumper to bumper coverage and that if something went wrong with my car to take it in to any authorized repair shop and all we had to pay was a $100 deductible.
Last week we noticed that it was really difficult to turn our car on because the key wouldn't move forward. We took it to a repair shop and were informed that the ignition switch needed to be replaced. Then I get a call and find out that the "extended warranty" company a/k/a Warranty Activation Headquarters would not approve of the repair. So now after they got all my money I have to pay out of my pocket an additional $500 to get my car repaired.
I contacted their "customer service" department - and I do use that term losely with this company!!! I wanted to appeal their decision since I was promised before signing a contract that we were protected bumper to bumper. They gave me the run around for three days until I had the displeasure of speaking to their supervisor. I told him my problem and he got EXTREMELY rude and ignorant with me on the phone actually raising his voice at me. I finally told him that I wanted to speak to HIS manager he told me that he wasn't going to allow me to speak to anyone else and that he was going to put in my account that if I ever call back that I HAVE to be transferred to him.
I couldn't believe what I was hearing! I have never been talked to by a company this way. I feel that this company scammed me out of my money and people should think twice about dealing with them or else risk being treated like I was. I wonder how many people have gone through this as well.
