Wells Fargo Auto Finance has lost a payment of mine for 7 MONTHS. I submitted proof of payment probably 10-15 times before they finally discovered that on their end, they credited my payment to someone else's account. During that time, one of their managers deferred my account for two months so that I would quit getting the numerous collection calls.

They almost caused me to not get my loan for my home because they never took off the 30 day late from my credit report from this.

Back in December 2008, I knew I was having back surgery and called them to defer a payment because I knew that I would be out of work for at least a month. They said ok, but I had to call when I was one day late. When I did that, the said I couldn't do it until July. They had no answer when I asked why I was told ok when I called weeks earlier.

I tried to get them to re-finance or whatever they could to get my account current and they refuse. I have a case pending with the BBB. I don't know if it will do any good, but something has to be done about these people. I sent them a fax today to stop the numerous collection calls, sometimes 10 a day. They start the day after my payment is due. If I had known that they wouldn't let me defer a payment, I would have made other arrangements. That's why I called them as soon as I knew about the surgery.

Any suggestions on what we can do about these people?
