Hello. I am a Legal Apprentice at a New York law firm, and I am responding to posts made by Wells Fargo auto customers who have been charged for Collateral Protection Insurance or CPI. Our law firm is currently investigating this type of conduct. Please contact me at your earliest convenience to discuss your experience. My email is [email protected]

"We have been harrassed and belittled by Wells Fargo for years...". Let me see, all those "years" you refer to, they simply kept calling and calling just to pass the time of day, just to see how you're doing, just to have a friendly little chat like neighbors do.
All that "harrassment" was caused by you not making your payments on time. Over time, being late adds extra interest to the loan. When YOU are late, YOU add extra interest to the loan. YOU probably did not keep insurance on the car either...so they bought it for you and passed the cost onto you...the (and I use this term hesitatingly) "responsible" party.
You now claim they won't talk to you. They probably don't trust a single word coming out of your mouth.
You people need to learn...when you sign a contract, you are REQUIRED to make each and every payment on time. There are ZERO excuses except you are dead! Paying on time is not optional. When YOU don't pay on time, YOU turn on the collections efforts and YOU tell them to repo the car.
