With a good lawyer, the harassment stopped. We had enough evidence proving fraud and their client's acknowledgement of fraud in writing.
Settled at the courthouse before it went to the judge.

These bozos are still calling and hanging up. I wrote a letter to Discovercard informing them that I am still subject to harassment from the charge off account from 1999 that didn't even belong to me. The firm is still pulling my CRA's without permissable purpose and they are still altering the date of last activity to extend allowable collection period. DiscoverCard has to be held accountable for violating consumer privacy. I am not the first case, nor will I be the last of these folks doing illegal credit searches in their collection efforts and finding the wrong person/attaching a miscellaneous bill to them.

I have finally have the ear of some folks working in the court system who finally see the problem with the firm using court documents fraudulently and have started investigating. I still get their hang up calls from their auto-dialer anywhere from 6AM - 11PM all days of the week including Major Holidays. No personal visits since the police became involved. I received additional documentation from the originating creditor stating they are not reporting the derogatory information on my credit history profile and that the another party is reporting in their name.
