West At Home Lied about the process and the way you are paid for hours/training worked Omaha Nebraska
I was suposedly hired at West-At-Home as a conractor to work on the GE delivery project team. I was never told initially that I had 1 week to complete training and if I did not finish the training within 1 week, they would let me go and also that there PROBABLY is not another project available for me to work on. After starting the training to learn their system and paying $35.00 for a background check, then I receive the email that the training must be completed in a week.
If I would have been told this up front, I would have never paid my money for a background check nor gotten myself involved with West At Home. I am out of $35.00 for the background check, unemployed and paying for an additional line (to take calls on)and they did not have the deceny or common courtesy to give me all the details up front.
West At Home should be sued and made to reimburse all employees because of the deceitful manner in which they do business. You don't tell employees after they get hiring that the training must be completed within 1 week, you tell them prior so that they can make an intelligent decision to accept or decline the offer. I could not even get a live body when I called their so-called help numbers for assistance, this was a red flag for me but it was too late, I had already incurred expenses. I don't recommend this company to anyone for employment or any type of business. I am curious if their clients are aware of their business practices.
I got bit but I hope that the next person will read through all the complaints that have been filed against West At Home and they will not make a terrible mistake. I don't know what else to say because it is evident that nothing is being done about this because after coming to this website to report this scam, I see a lot of other complaints. This needs to be stopped and it needs to be stopped now.
