West Gate Smoky Mt. Ripoff Trying to steal wages from ex-employee Gatlinberg Tennessee
As a former employee for west gate resorts in gatlinberg I wanted every one to know the real skinny on this joint!
All over town its a catch phrase about west gate "hire em in mass, train em in class and fire there a__". And thats exactly what happened to me.
I was hired by westgate and worked the sales floor there for a total of 8 weeks. during that time I made a total of 11 sales for them. I never received one cent of my commission pay, and was fired directly after asking for it.
I have been given one run around after another over the past SIX MONTHS and still not one red cent from CFI-westgate
Its always easy for the big guy to push poor working class people around, so that is SOP at westgate.
I just wanted every one to know that these people will hire anyone as a sales person... The ad they run in the local paper says "no experience PREFERED" and people from the surrounding areas flock to these sales "class's". West gate pays 1200 dollors for people to attend, then they make all sorts of promises about making 100,000 a year et.et
Being in a bind financially I acceped the job and the payments greatfully.... And did my best to be a good "team member". I soon realised that it was really all about ripping off poor people on vacation, and I resolved to quit just as soon as possible ( jobs are tough to find there).
Before I could quit though I was fired for not meeting the sales quota, 11 sales in 8 weeks wasn't bad for some one with no experence, but still I was fired.
I never was payed a dime for those sales, and probably never will be.... But still... I think everyone should know that west gate provided me with a copy of every contract I was a part of, and they released personal information on every customer I had, to me!
SS# Birthdays, address's, phone numbers.... all of it. In one case even the credit card number and experation date!
I wouldn't do any thing bad with this information.... But what about the next "employee"? Will it be a meth addict or a pill head? Is YOUR information safe with west gate? Frankly I doubt it!
I have every intention of calling every one of my customers and letting them know what happened, and I hope your readers will alert each other about this dangerous practice in the days of rampet identity theft.
