West Wood Westwood And VA Benefits Denver Colorado
As far my experience goes with Westwood College Online, it's been ok nothing to really complain about except if you try to get VA started with the school. Every time you try to get into contact with the guy who's suppose to file your claim so you can get VA benefits.
1. You can call the guy every hour or every thirty minutes you always get his answering machine. I've learned recently that he does not answer his phone at all unless it's somebody he's having a meeting with , so any message that you leave is a waste of time because he's not only going to not even going to bother to listen to you. If you leave a phone number for him to call you back don't count on this guy to ever call you back.
2. A Westwood representative apparently has to make a meeting with the guy, which you would think maybe now you'll get to talk to him. Well I've been waiting two days to hear from this guy , when I was suppose to hear something from the guy on the same day I called him.
3. To tell you the truth I'm tired of jumping through hoops just to get this man to do his job and file my claim so I can get a VA check. They say he's so busy, and always in meetings, personally I think the guy doesn't do anything except not be in his office.
4. My advisor is suppose to be dealing with this situation but she's not doing her job also as she has also not called me back.
5.I'm starting to see why everyone has an issue with Westwood College, Advisors, Financial department, and the biggest disappointment of them all is the fact that there only one person able to do anything VA related.
I never thought that when you check out a school that you have to check VA service. I plan to call Westwood tomorrow early in the morning and demand they find way to get the VA guy on the phone talking with me or for him to call within a hour. He's unable to do any I'm going to tell them looks like I'm no longer a student at this school and would like to withdraw from Westwood.
I have only been a student for four months , came to Westwood right after I earned an Associates degree with ITT Tech.I'd rather cut my losses now then attend a school that doesn't care about the students.
I hope it's not to jumbled , but I thought it should be known.

Wow J, this is exactly what happened to my husband!!!! Only he tried to drop his courses after he filed FASA.A nd now a collection comp. is calling day and night wanting over $2500.00 for classes he NEVER took, because he's active duty and the military takes presidence, and was unable to take the classes.They told him the classes would be dropped. His letter from FASA said that they were sending $6000.00 to Westwood. And when you try to call the VA guy no responce. And you're right they call wanting this and that, that makes no sense whats so ever. Because if FASA sent them money they owe them the refund. We have no clue were to report or have this taken care of. Wish there was Law against this.......
