We originally made reservations via the internet for information about the resort. We were called within five minutes. I cancelled a week's reservation after my husband scheduled change. Customer Service persuaded me to at least spend two days; I traveled there for seven hours, arriving about 10:15 at night. We went to bed at 1:30, were up at 7:30 for breakfast, etc. Upon arriving at the tour desk, we were informed that because our Identifications had two different addresses we could not take the tour. We were referred to the Welcome desk, then the Head Manager, who all said we could not take tour and would have to pay an extra $100 per night penalty. I explained that I had moved to Atlanta Prior to my husand and he had not yet changed his license. We had the same last name, the same bank checks with same address and other information, yet they refused to serve us. We could not understand why until we realized that we were a mixed couple AND my husband being Mexican and Myself, African-American, it was evident that we had to be married for us to have the same name. So we believe it is racial. Even when I called the corporate office, they could not believe the check books were the same name and addresses were not accepted. The final analysis: I was charged the original $99.oo plus $41 early departure. My trip was cancelled. I recieved no Universal tickets, no tour, no cruise, no coupon book AND I had to ride back home another 7 hours while I continued to be car sick. My weekend was ruined and it cost me $340.00. The customer service was lousy and the African-American women that I dealt with gave me the run-around when they ask me to go back to my room, get the check book and still did not accept our information. I want to be reimbursed for all my hardship and trust that I placed in this company that completely shattered my weekend.
