I purchased a 4 day 3 night packagefor $800ish  from westgateresorts.com with the requirements to attend a presentation to sell me a timeshare. On check in we were supposed to present a valid ID and both my husband and myself be present, to my surprise the day we arrived at westgate towncenter for check in ( after a 10 hr drive and 5 kids in the car) I realized I had lost my license during the drive. We were instructed to go into a small area where the check in for persons that have to go to the presentation is supposed to be done, my husband presented them his license and I had a state university picture ID, my bank card and 3 major credit cards, all with the same spelling of my name in them, Since they considered that I had no proper identification and there was no way for them to prove my identity, I was not allowed to used the package I had purchased and I needed to pay $500 extra if I wanted to check in, I explained them that I had lost my driving license in the way and that every single form of ID I had showed them required me to have presented a drivers license in order to have, I told them my state university ID had my picture with my name o it and that should proe my identity, they told that I had to present either a passport ( which I dont drive to another state carring my passport) or go back and get my license ( after I told them first that i live 10 hrs away and second I had lost my license) when I requested to speak to a manager I was told that she was the manager( one of the two only girls at the counter doing the check in) sfter requsting to speak witht he general manager I was told that if I didnt like it I could move to the side and call corporte as they asked the person behind me to step up and check in, so basically I was pushed to the side. I used their phones on the side that are directd connected to corporate ( how convenient!!!) and I was told that becasue I was expected to attend a sales presentation I HAD to have to my drivers license in order to buy the time share ( which at tis point I was interested in buying t all!) and since I didnt have one with me I had to pay $500 extra whuch was the discounted fee I was given for attending the presentation but since I was not allowed to attend because it was the cmpany requirement now I had to pay the difference. Since I had no place to go and 5 cranky kids in the car I used some of my vacation mone to pay the extra $500. While waiting in line to pay the diffenrence and finall check in ( 3 hrs later) I met 2 more vacationers that had similar problems and was given the name and number of a lady that presents herself as the sales manager for westgate ( which turned out to be just another timeshare seller), after checking in and payng the difference I gave her a called and explained what had happened to us, she told me to meet her the next morning at westgate the lakes at 8:30 am, so it turned out that when we got to the lakes, we were given the sales presentation, the sameone that I was told I couldnt attend because I didnt have my drivers license, they even gave me two different packages I could pick from, so it was all a lie that I couldnt buy without my license ( which I knew from the beginning), and after 5 hours of trying to sell me the time share they got the hint that I wasnt buying anything at which point the saling lady and the supervisors  that had been the nicest persons on the face of the earth to this point turned out to be the nasties people I had even known, I was left to walk about 6 block back to my car under the 1 oclck heat in orlando ( and with no clue of how to get back to my car ) I was picked up in a nice golf cart in the morning and no ride back in the afternoon, go figure! At least I was promised to get my $500 back.

So now let me tell you about the accomodations, after my second night I found out tha the main bedroom jacuzzi was never cleaned ot before I checked in, it had soap scum all over in a combination of grayish dirt and long hairs all over too ( I actually have pictures ), tht second day in the morning my daughter and my nice woke up with insect bites in their arms and neck, about an hor after I called the reception an exterminator showed up with pump and everything in hand, I had a 7 mo od baby, 2 yr old toddler, 6 yr old, 9 yr old and 12 yr old in the roomso I asked him if he was planning to spray anyting because I had kids in the room so he told me tha he was only check the beds, he took everythng apart and told me that he didnt find anythng but e was going to call housekeeping because after seeing the jacuzzi he assumed noone had cleaned the room or changed the blankets, most likely they wer too busy and they just made the beds insted of actually changing everyting and most likely that ws the reason the kids had bites (?), after that we left to the park and my sister came back to the room with the babies, once she got to the room an hr later, she found out the room had been fumigated while we were out, it smelled like pesticide so she immediately called the front desk and she was confirmed that they indeed had fumigated the room while we were out!!!!! ( after the exterminator didnt find anything, suposedly) we had food on the counters, baby food, cereals all of which we had to throw away, we had to do laundry because we didnt know what had pesticide and what didt, and I dont know about you but I never ad exposed my kids to pesticides on purposed, if for any reasoI ever have to fumigate the inside of my house ( which up to today I never had to) I'll make sure my kids re not sleeping over so why do I have to stay in a room that is being fumigated while  I am still using it!!! my sister had to move all our belognings to another room that was giving to us after she complained, she had to keep both babies in the room while she packed everything, and she tells me that by the time she left the rooms she was having a little headache she doesnt know if it was because of the pesticide or because she was very furious. I wonder if we would had been notified of the situation if my sister wouldn't had come back right away and we would have returned at midnight like we were doing the nights before, I guess we would have slept in a fumigated room and most likely eaten the cereals that where opened on the table.

My recommendations, if you want to enjoy your vacations, save the headache and spare yourself of bug bites and peticides, dont stay at westgate, and to top it all, the sales person at the presentaion tolf me that  I had over pay for the 4 days 3 nights at $800ish (it also included 4 one day pass to magic kingdom), so on top of all the headaches and waste of time, I got riped off with the price.
