I have recently purchased a westgate resort timeshare. I was told that I would be purchasing a timeshare at a five star hotel. I was never given an option on the exact resort I wanted or the week I wanted reserved. Instead, I was given a unit at the Westgate Towers on a week that will never fit my working schedule. I tried to cancel but have been told that I am out of my 10 day cancellation window. I have been back to the sales office several times and have left several messages. I have not been given any answers on what I can do to change my reservations. Instead, I have just been given lies about how the supervisor is never present. I would like to cancel timeshare and do not want to pay anything else. I want to know what the best way of getting out of this mess would be. My next charge will take place on January 20th, so I would like a helpful answer ASAP.

You can do either two things: 1. stop paying on it 2. contact the owner's advocate and see if they can help you. If you need more info you can e-mail me at (((ROR redacted))) CLICK here to see why Rip-off Report, as a matter of policy, deleted either a phone number, link or e-mail address from this Report.

As long as you submit in writing your cancellation request within the 10 day recission period on your contract you signed you should not have a problem.
