Complaint Review: WESTGATES VILLAS RESORT/ HOTELS CORP - Select State/Province

 On wednesday December 18, 2013 I made a reservation with hotels corp. I was traveling to Orlando for my daugther 6 year birthday. I made a reservation with Linda from hotels corp about a promotion they were having for 5 days 4 nights for $250.00 included a $300.00 cruise gift card plus 3 park tickets. All this was giving to me if I did a 90 minutes presentation. When booking my reservation Linda transfer my called to Francisco who verified all my information was correct. The only issue I had was I needed to prove me and my boyfriend live together. I told francisco my boyfriend license is under his mom address and there's no bills under his name like Fpl because I have live there for 7 years and my boyfriend and I have been together for 3. He ask for a bank account we might join but we didnt had nothing. He said the only offer at this point he could give me was paid an additional $330 dollars to keep everything I was offer and I wouldnt have to do the 90 minutes tour.

I refuse, cancel all the transation. I immediately called my boyfriend to ask if he had any bills or anything that goes to my house, he reply his financial aid from school and his license was register under my address but he never replace it. I called back hotels corp spoke with Francisco again, asked him if his financial aid worked and he said it had to be a myor bill like water, light, bank statement or license. I reply he has a letter from the Florida state that show his license number with my address. He put me on hold and went to ask his supervisor if that paper would work. After a couple of minutes he came back and said they authorize the paper, that i would need to show the paper we were talking about and a credit card the day of the 90 minutes presentation, which was on Saturday 21 at 8 am.

I arrive at WestGate at 12 am the concierge told me I needed to be back in the morning to fill out somepapers and to re-activate my room card since it was only gona be activated for one day. In the morning when I went to check in again and fill out the papers they ask for both IDS and the paper I mention which show his license number and my address, they made a copy and gave me another copy for myself. The day of the presentation they ask for both IDS again and the paper that shows his license is under my house. They ask me if I had a recent paper cause the one I show was a year old. I told them no, and let them know one spoke to me that the papers needed to be recent. Even on the contract where it say I paid $250 and the documents i had to bring, speak about dates or that any documents needed to be on a certain date range. They send me back to the hotel where there was someone waiting for us already. This guy claim to be a manager, but for a manager I was treated horrible and in a very disrespectful way. He immediately claim we didnt qualified and he was charging us a $330 dollars more from what i already paid. He didnt give us the chance to explain our self and let him know this paper we brough was authorize by a manager from Hotels Corp.

As soon as i know I receive a notification from my bank by txt that i overdraft my account. This guy who claim to be manager told me he couldnt do anything to talk to hotels corp. I called Hotel corp and they said they couldnt help me to called westgate. (I felt like a hot potato) Went back to westgate and ask to speak with someone above him. He claim his supervisor was busy couldnt receive me. We ask for his name he reply Kaly we ask for his last name, he claim he didnt knew it. (How a manager doesnt know his supervisor name) ask for an email, he reply i dont know it because i told you i dont know his last name. we ask for a phone number which he gave us but kaly never asnwer, left a voice mail which he hasn't up to date return my phone call. I spend the intire morning trying for someone to give me an explenation. After phone calls and phone calls we found a recent paper from 2013 from the florida state, same paper I show but they denied it because it was one year older. Went back and show it.

Now the problem wasnt the date it was they didnt concider that paper as proof. Called back hotels corp to let them know i found a recent paper from this year same paper at show at the beginning and know they dont want to approve it. they transfer me to Luis manager of Hotels corp. we esplain everything all over to him. He said that paper didnt work, We told him someone from hotels corp authorize it. He went to check the recording of the phone call. after minutes waiting on the phone Luis came back and put the recording of the coversation between me and francisco and he said apperantely it was a miss understanding that they shouldnt have authorize that paper in the first place but he was going to do an investigation to see who approve it. he said he could only return $150.00 because westgate was going to want to stay with some portion. we were so tired of this discusion we agreed to the $150.00 refund. Up to this date they still havent return the money and i havent receive any phone calls from kaly. Let me also add to this that Luis even laugh at my boyfriend over the phone, when my boyfriend ask for a reference number thats when he wanted to help us.
