I have been employed with westwood college(alta colleges) for 8 years now.

The goal of an admissions rep at westwood college is to sucker as many students as possible. We get points and bonus for each head we enroll. Actually we bonus off pge's.. Each campus has a certain number of points we get depending on the poor student we sucker to go to. In my expirance most if not all of my students drop with in the first year in a half of attending.

Westwood starts students in easy classes due to finincial aid being paid for. They claim 84% of students are employed in their career before graduation, I challenge anyone to prove that. The fact is the center director (Jenn) and the directors JT, and Benito cancel students weekly in a daily budget wam. The employees offen joke about the disfunctional students they enroll in order to hit their monthly budget of 8, in order to keep their job.

The center director Jenn and Benito are currently in Las Vegas on vacation due to hitting their goal. I will tell you, turnover is over 90% and employees are fearfull of keeping their jobs due to not hitting their budget and will do or say anything to convince you to apply to school. Most employees at westwood college are recruited from local car dealerships and employees are given a bonus of 2 grand if they make it 90 days. I challenge the accridication of Accsct and the Acics to research the practices of westwood college(alta colleges) and ensure the second rate education they perform.

A TV commercial is running in Denver by the law firm James Hoyer Newcomer out of Tampa FL. They're investigating Westwood College for fraudulent activities concerning recruitment, and are looking for ex-students of the college. The website is Jameshoyer.com. Hope this helps.

Hi Enforcer, When did this 2 grand bonus start????? I was employed in the online division for two years and never got anything when I was hired. Other than that false information, you are correct about Westwood. This place is as for profit as you could possibly get and a joke of a workplace too. The admissions reps claim they are picky on who they enroll, but will enroll anyone willing to give up $100 no matter how bad they are. Even if a student says "I don't care about my school work, I will fail every class" they will still say they are an excellent candidate just to get that $100. When I was in online admissions, I got a sick feeling in my stomach each and every time I enrolled a student. It was all in the name of keeping the paycheck coming. Basically, I got that feeling because I just signed someone up for a $70k+ debt they will get nothing in return from except a piece of paper saying a degree, but it is not recognized by any good company out there. The online education is so watered down you could swim in it. At the same time I worked there I took classes and one of my classes I only submitted the excel template (it was an accounting class) did not complete any work at got full credit for it and a note from the instructor saying "excellent work, keep it up!!" Please folks, there are many other options out there and you should not pick Westwood. The other one to stay away from is University of Phoenix. They are also quite the for profit with nothing in return type place. Both of these colleges are now becoming corporate sponsors of a lot of stuff. THAT should tell you something right there. University of Phoenix Stadium anyone? Channel 93.3's Big Gig in Denver sponsored by Westwood?? Nuff said.

Did you say honesty? According to his post, it appears he's been participating in this fraud for 8 years (against people like you). My guess is that maybe his conscience is bothering him.

I just read your post and am looking at potentially working for Westwood. Your post has convinced me to seek other employment. I appreciate your honesty and wish there were more people out there who would tell you what it's really like instead of starting the job and waiting to see what happens...

i am so glad that i decided to research this school before i completed the enrollment process. I requested info. online and got a call not even 5 min. after i submitted. the lady was really nice and i went in to speak with her. she sold me a dream...the next day i even paid the 50 dollar application fee. so 3 days later i do a little reseach an whaddaya know the same thing said by everyone, phony advisors, the trick you into getting loans. Matter of fact i jst emailed the lady and told her i was no longer interested...she said' you should still finish the enrollment process. you dont wanna be put in a bad situation, you.ve been out of school too long" Please lady i am not dumb. during the brief meeting she kept saying i was good and i could defer my payments for up to ten years like she did. she even said that grants would cover most of tuition..80,000. i thank all who take time out to share their stories on websites like these to warn young ppl like myself about scams like westwood thanks to you i.ve saved 80,000 . even though i cnt get my 50 buxx back it made me open my eyes and realizze everyone is not here for u...especially westwood admissions reps...
