When I first purchased my car 3 years ago, I transferred my current insurance over to the new vehicle. WFS contacted me that they were going to purchase insurance on my vehicle at my expense because they said they had information stating I did not have my auto insured. Over the next 6 months I kept faxing my coverage information to anybody and everybody at that company as I was still receiving the same mail I received in the beginning. I finally stated I would have them investigated if they didn't knock it off. Those letters stopped. Now, somewhere along the way I apparently made a mistake in the amount of my monthly payments. Instead of correcting my math error and contacting me, they let me continue to pay the incorrect amount for probably 2 years. It was my error, however they never brought it to my attention. Instead they keep claiming they will come and get my car via letters if I don't bring my account current. The very important fact that I was making incorrect payment amounts never came up. I was under the impression that I was making my payments and that the company was not applying them to my account. To make a long story short I have reported the company to the Attorney General's office and they are aware of their shady business practices. I believe this company has been getting away with alot for a long time. Do not hesitate to contact the Attorney General's office to publicise the unethical behavior of this company.

I read your ripoff report and would like know more about your case. I too have an auto loan through WFS. My statements are very confusing and misleading. My payment is set at $234.33 per month, but I pay $300 to cut the time I will be paying off my loan. WFS never credits my account the correct amount. I used a loan calculator that has an amortorazation schedule so I know what part of my payment should go to the interest and which should go to the principle. WFS figures are way off. I will be going to the main office to have them explain thier figures to me and why their is a difference. If your experience could help me I would like to hear more about how WFS charged you more interest and how you found out about it. Feel free to email me at [email protected]
