I purchased a Wirlpool Dishwasher 1 year ago. At the 8-9 month mark I noticed the racks were rusting. I called lowes who referred me to their service line. The people took my info and said they would shipped new ones right away. 2 months went by and nothing showed up. I called back they said they would get right on it, Once again nothing. I called agin and they states that Whirpool said rust is fine.....and they would not send new ones. Keeping in mind this was less than a year old which falls under the manufacture warranty. I told them so you would have no problem letting your children eat off of dishes that were exposed to rust. The man said he would not , but the company said they would not replace then since rust was normal. I have had dishwasher last ten years nad never had rust. Very sad that they will not stand behind their products. Th racks cost $100 each and I bought the diswaher for $449.
