Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I have never been so compelled to write a report in all of my life.  In fact this is the very first one and I will continue to post about White Glove Relocation as I do not wish anyone else to go through this experience, nor do I wish this company to stay in business.  I know that is terrible to say, but they should not be obtaining future clients!

I will try to make it short and to the point, but first flag was my quote of 2000K went up to 3100K upon the movers arriving to pick up my stuff.  Let me add I was scheduled to have my belongings picked up from 1-3, they showed up at 7 that evening and stayed until 11.  This was for a move of a 600 sq foot apartment, so as to put that into perspective for you.

Neighbors actually called the office for me, after I had moved out to my new place of residence to tell them that they saw
the movers drop several pieces of furnature.  They also smoked inside of my building and were completely unprofessional.  This is just the beginning.

I made it very clear the earliest date I could move in and provided them with that as I was moving out of the state, so had to stay in IL until I could actually move into my new apartment.  Low and behold, they showed up a day early and I had to book a flight out last min which was extremely costly and unexpected.

Once I arrived, the two men, began unloading my belongings.  The one man stayed in the truck the whole tiime while the other 20 year old who was strung out on something did the rest.  At one point about 3 hours in (again not moving that much stuff) my two friends went outside as they seemed to dissapear.  They were just out sitting in the truck doing nothing.  I actually ended up helping them move because it was getting late, and I was exhausted and was not sure why they were just not doing their job.

My dresser was destroyed, so I decided to file a claim.  Insert Tracie Terman of White Glove and wow here is where absolutely nothing was accomplished.  Once they had the 3000 bucks from me, all correspondence went out the door.  According to the documents I signed they owe me money for the damage.  I waited the 90 days that they have to respond, and after emailing a dozen times to Tracie and getting no response I pulled in my Lawyer.  They again did not even respond to that.

I now am taking the matter up with the DOT as it is not a matter of the money anymore, but the sheer lack of respect and pricipal of this entire matter.  Please do NOT use this company, I wish I had read some of the reviews before selecting them.  Be warmed in the beginning they will seem like the best moving company ever, and once they have your signature all customer service is out the window.

I hope this helps someone out there.  Do your research and read people's reviews!

Good luck!

In response to the clients complaint - the client signed  a revised estimate at pick up because the driver pointed out several items that she wanted moved that were not on her original inventory list. If there is one additonal item the client must sign a revised estimate and agree to the price increase for the driver to take it. The client also had the option to not sign the revised and for us to just take the items on the original estimate, but she did not want that. I remember this client clearly stating that we must take everything, so she agreed to the increase in price.

The client was not working on an hourly rate, so it makes no difference if it took us 2 hours to load or 22 hours to load, the clients bill was based soley on weight.

I have gone back through our records and I do not see any claim ever submitted for this client, if the client would like to resubmit a claim I will send it to our processing company.
