White House Pizza Fraudulent happy hour pricing, having customers pre-pay for food they never get Carbondale Colorado
This place has ripped me off twice in six months. I went in with 20 minutes to kill before I had a bus to catch. I asked the server if I could get a dessert in 10 minutes and explained I had a bus to catch. "No Problem." I pre-paid just in case there was a time crunch at the end.
After ten minutes I was assured, "it's just about to come up." I reminded the waitress about my crunch. "Any minute now' every minute after. Finally I had to walk out the door, no money back.
For some reason I went back for a friend's party. They advertise a happy hour from 4-6 or something. We ordered a round of drinks when we got there at 5 or so. Five minutes till we ordered another telling the waiter to make sure they were at the happy hour price. When we got the bill at 7, our waiter had left for the night and the manager gave us the bill. No surprise (fool me once...) the last round was at full price. She told us the computer locked them in at full price because the order was put in after happy hour ended. Is that our fault?
There was no sympathy from the manager on this. We paid full price, left a standard tip, and I'm posting this in hopes others will learn from my TWO mistakes.
