With past credit problems due to a divorce I had difficulty finding a lender. Wholesalecars.com guarantees credit so I was extremely happy to be able to replace my old clunker with a reliable vehicle. The particular vehicle I picked out looked and ran like a dream. The salesman said it had been checked out and was in mint condition and it sure looked like it was. He even mentioned that he was thinking about buying it for his wife. It was sold "As Is" but he said he personally guaranteed it.

Within 6 weeks my dream turned into a nightmare. I was driving in a heavy downpour and the windshield wipers quit. Then came major brake problems followed by the heater in the seats quitting about the time spring got here. The air conditioner stopped working as soon a summer arrived. Then the fuel pump went out and cost a bundle to fix. The repairman told me that the gas tank was going to have to be replaced because it was rusted out and that there was rust all along the underside of the body.

When I reported the above to them they said "Sorry but we cannot help you and reminded me that it was "Sold As Is". The particular salesman would not return my calls.

Be sure to have any vehicle from this lot checked out completely by a professional before you buy.

Don't Rip People Off

Donna, was in the right to myself. She is not the only one that has been ripped off by wholesalecars.com I, myself, was ripped off as well and I was in the almost same predicament as she was. I would have ended up paying for the car if the car was actually worth the effort and money spent in it. You never once returned my phone calls when I called about my own vehicle. Someone should really look into your company. I should have looked at this article before purchasing my own vehicle. I will make sure people know what a rip off your company is.

Typical Car Dealer LIES

Your first mistake was going to Paul Claborn Motors, now with that out of they way. The vehicle you picked out looked like a dream because you were a vulnerable customer, credit was not so great, trade in was a "clunker". Let's say you pulled onto the lot the next day the same salesman would have told you the same story about how he was going to buy a different vehicle for his wife, typical saleman tactics. I am actually suprised he did not tell you he used it as a demo for a few weeks, and he would trust this vehicle for his wife and kids to drive anywhere. The windshield wiper issue can not be blamed on the dealer, the brake problems were most likely the rotors need turned and that is also normal wear and tear, the heater in the seats going out is just random that is not a common problem. Now let's get to the nightmare of your purchase from Paul Claborn, the vehicle you purchased was most likely from Chicago or somewhere in the northern states, you did not have the vehicle inspected, you bought the vehicle AS IS. They did a video closing so they have indisputable video evidence you agreed to AS IS. Yes the GAC program helps people with unstble credit history, this dealer knowingly buys junk cars, rusted, wrecked, whatever he can buy cheap to put on his alternative finance lot across the street. PLEASE tell everyone you know this car dealer is a cancer on society, taking advantage of the low income people of this area.

Buy what you CAN afford - Not what you CAN NOT afford*

Donna (The Customer) was called several times to try to find out what problems she had with the vehicle and finally returned the call. After speaking with her it is a matter of her purchasing a vehicle a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe LT with 85,704 miles on it at the time of purchase dated 3/14/2005. By her choice she chose a vehicle that she knew had no factory warranty left on it. When we (WholeSaleCars.com) spoke with her on 6/19/2006 she disclosed that it now has over 104,000 miles on it. After further conversation with the customer she said that she had a problem with the alignment and that she brought it back to us and that we took it to our repair shop and we (WholeSaleCars.com) paid for the rotors to be replaced and the alignment to be done. After that there was no further attempt to speak to us about any other concerns she had. When she came into purchase a vehicle from us she told us she had problems with her credit and we were able to provide her with financing on a vehicle within a certain payment range. Instead of purchasing a lower priced, newer model with low miles under warranty, she chose a vehicle of much higher value, with no warranty left on it. She wanted all the luxury & options instead of a vehicle with fewer frills and warranty left on it. It sounds as if she was driving a Clunker when she looked to replace it with something nicer. Anytime we sell a vehicle As is we offer the customer a Service Contract if the vehicle is eligible for such. In this case it was eligible for one and she chose not to purchase a Service contract to later protect her in the event of mechanical breakdown. *Buy what you CAN afford, Not what you CAN NOT afford*
