Complaint Review: William W. Dillard II - (512) 947 - 8088 - Austin Texas

 I found his contact and info and contact via "Craigslist" on 10/28/2017 when I need to find a contractor to: 1. build and install new cabinets for laundry and master rest room 2. Added on the cleats for the niche 3. Install the handles to the existing + new cabinets Then he texted me his full name as: William W. Dillard II ; Email: [email protected] and a picture of business card has the company name: Wildwood - Quality Custom Cabinetry & Furniture Address: 12802 Marimba Trial, Austin TX 78729 Then he started to rush for an appointment and came in person immediately after 1 hour at 4:37PM on SUNDAY 10/28/2017, he drove a black truck. After he measured the dimensions of the new cabinets and discussed with me about the cleats and handles installation... we agreed the total cost is $1,000.00. He immediately asked me to give him 50% which is $500.00 and I DID write him a BOA check, BC he said he needs to go to home depot and instantly buy the materials to build it right away Even though I told him that it is not to rush as I need they all ready and installed by 11/18/2017. He said he will build and store them in his factory and just wait for that day and bring them and install. Luckily I asked him for a sales receipt at first he said he did not have it available and that is the only deposit.... but after a while he printed right on his truck a receipt stated for the scope of works, amount $1,000.00 and was already paid $500.00 Then after several delays, the final day came, We made an appointment on Saturday 11/25/2017 for installation... at 10AM but he did not show up and even did not call or send a text message. I sat at my house and waited for him till 11AM and made a several calls, he finally answered but instead of sorry, he started to talk all about his business, he said he had so many orders and extremely busy and HAVE NOT YET BUILT my cabinets...I told him the bottom line is when I will have those cabinets installed. and he said will need a week to build and therefore we re-scheduled for Saturday 12/2/2017 at 10AM Again I waited for him until 11AM but he did not show up and NO any phone calls or texts either, I made like 10 calls to him and after hours he texted back and said he will call back but instead, he texted for a lengthy message and confirmed that he cannot come and the cabinets will be ready by next Tuesday. I did google maps and drove to the address stated on his business card and from here I surprisingly found out that, there is NO any address as: 12802 Marimba TRIAL, BUT only 12802 Marimba TRAIL, he did another trick on the word and that house is only a residential house that currently under rented by a girl. I had NO choice but made another appointment for Saturday 12/16/2017 but then Again he DID NOT show up I called/texted him several time and again he texted back to have the cabinets delivered/installed by Saturday 12/22 then Saturday 12/29 but the same like other previous times. He DID NOT show up. He texted me for a lengthy messages, and always said that he is working very hard very night and day and he will give me the highest quality of cabinets...but I told him I ONLY believe if I see the cabinets and handles, cleats are installed at my house. Today 1/5/18. He texted me and request to pay him for the remaining $500.00 or he quits the job while he did not give me anything (cabinets, installation of handles and cleats). Even though in written it clearly stated 50% was prepaid and remaining 50% will be paid off after completing the work.
