Complainant has challenged the truthfulness of certain statements posted on ripoffreport.com by Dean Stallworth, the Author of Report #889240. Mr. Stallworths connection to Complainant is not clear. The Author did not respond to the Complaint filed by Complainant in the time allowed and therefore is not participating in this Arbitration. In accordance with the Ripoff Report VIP Arbitration Rules (the Rules), the Arbitrator will decide whether each of the contested statements is an opinion or a statement of fact. If, and only if, the statement is determined to be a statement of fact, the Arbitrator will then go further and decide if, by a preponderance of the evidence, the statement is true or not.

In this case, the Arbitrator has only the evidence submitted by Complainant to consider. The evidence submitted includes the Ripoff Report referenced, multiple Witness Statements, and other documents.

Complainant appears to be challenging statements made by Author.

Any portions of the statements that were deemed to be opinion were not ruled upon by the Arbitrator. The Arbitrator determined that the statements which have been redacted were false. Therefore, according to the Rules, those statements have been redacted.

Muslim workers at the Carrollton Texas based 'Wingspan Portfolio Advisors' are complaining of employment discrimination in record numbers. (((Statement REDACTED as false pursuant to Ripoff Report VIP Arbitration))). (((Statement REDACTED as false pursuant to Ripoff Report VIP Arbitration))). Several Muslim workers recently filed a record 83 claims against the company in the last year.

Wingspan is just a bad deal all the way around. Very poor management but I guess everyone knows that. The top tier of the company is filled with relatives and other close acquaintances. Promotions are all based on BS reasons of who knows who. Positions are created for favorites where they actually do nothing but hold titles and give meetings. Terrible company and I am actively looking for other employment. I wish I would have known how terrible this job was before I accepted it. Lots of things are coming to the forefront now. For the life of me I don't understand why Mr. Horne is so loyal to these spoiled brats running around his firm threatening to bring down what he has worked so hard for. To choose Justin Belter and actually Jason Dickard and Melanie Pellegrino as well for their positions when they really had no experience is beyond me. Maybe he wanted loyal folks he could groom into management material but these guys are not management material at all. They are God awful managers who are often abusive and tricky to staff.

Kevin Conn and Justin Belter would deny work to certain employees and then turn right back around and terminate the employees for failing to meet numbers. Who the F does that kind of thing but a shady, cutthroat manager? These people have no souls. No doubt they have severely shaken the trust of many of their former employees.

Justin Belter is a real curiosity however. I remember when the guy married his wife. Yeah... The one drinking the cheap booze looking like a cheap hooker on the picture above. Yes, her. Jason Dickard would go on and on in meetings bragging on the honeymoon Belter and his wife took to Mexico where they stayed at some sleazy getup down there. These guys are nothing but rednecks honestly. They can't even pretend to have class.

Then when Mr. Justin Belter successfully managed to knock up his wife Jason Dickard went on and on bragging on this as well.. Geez. I am aware that it was Jason Dickard that promoted Mr. Belter. Singlehandedly. And that coddles him to this very day and that talks up even the tiniest of Mr. Belter's accomplishments. I mean honestly, Mr. Dickard and the rest of the "Connected inner crew" went on and on about Justin Belter successfully impregnating his wife to the point that I was pretty sure we would all have to bow to the guy or something. Who needs to be treated like that for getting their wife pregnant? I heard folks pretty much had to clap when he walked past. Is the guy that pathetic that even getting his wife pregnant merits that type of a response?

He is obviously in the inside clique at Wingspan but I grew so d**n tired of Mr. Dickard going on and on and on about the guys honeymoon and then kid on the way. I mean honestly he would just not shut up about the guy. I use to wonder if those two were secretly lovers.

And every-time you turn around Mr. Dickard has bestowed new titles on the guy. I have watched Justin work. He is nothing special. The guy also just sounds plain dumb. There are people having to answer to Mr. Belter that can mentally run circles around the guy. However, this is how it works when you are apart of the inside clique. You can do no wrong. 

Wingspan is a complete joke. I can't wait to get away from this terrible company.

The problem is no one wants to step forward with their real names because wingspan portfolio advisors is a dirty company ran by very power-hungry, ruthless people and these guys will move heaven and earth to hide their dirt. I have no more faith in corporate America. These guys are mostly crooks.

They are putting forward "witness" statements and these "witnesses" still work for the company and depend on their checks for their livelihood. So even a fool would see they are not partial witnesses. No court ANYWHERE would accept their statements because they are NOT impartial.

Wingspan has hurt a lot of people. Behaved in a way that was unethical, illegal and cruel. To get ahead. It's managers were so cutthroat and underhanded I would feel its appropriate to even surmise they were EVIL.

The company DID "OPENLY" discriminate against Muslims, Blacks and Hispanics. The company was FULL of Nepotism. They MENTALLY TORTURED employees when they were trying to get them to quit or whom had fallen out of favor. They DID use racial epithets.

But we have no voice because this company is armed with lawyers, probably the most cutthroat and Ruthless attorneys that can be found in Texas and they will tie you up in so much litigation to SILENCE FREE SPEECH one doesn't stand a chance.

However, the truth about this fraudulent company will one day come out. No matter how much money they spend the truth will come out.

If the truth hurts so be it...

Wingspan Portfolio Advisors, LLC and its corrupt managers abused many employees because of their race, openly discriminated against black and brown people in terms of pay and treatment and openly defrauded Bank of America customers..(Although it was with Bank of America's permission).. They deserve to be ripped apart. Those employees who spoke up about lying to Bank of America customers and misleading these people were victimized, harrassed and targeted by Melanie Pellegrino, Justin Belter and Kevin Conn and others. These managers made life hell for many people and Steve Horne sat back and did not care at all... These people were nothing but yes men.

Muslims were abused because of their faith as well. If you are a minority the only message these people sent was that you were not wanted at the company. As soon as the company finished using these people for their services it threw most of them away and replaced them with young fresh faced white kids once the work slowed down..


One could say its because neither of these managers had experience. They all came from minimum wage jobs and even when they started working at Wingspan Portfolio Advisors Melanie Pellegrino, Kevin Conn and Justin Belter were making just a little above minimum wage. Yet through skinning and grinning they were selected to have jobs they had no idea how to do.


So no.. I don't feel sorry at all for Wingspan Portfolio Advisors until I hear a public apology for all the lives that were destroyed by those who came into contact with this company and its piss poor management.

The complaints against Wingspan have merit and are coming from a wide range of ex employees. The complaints show a pattern of abuse and unethical acts by the company's management against employees of color. These complaints also show that Wingspan engaged in Illegal Activities by forcing their employees under threat of termination to act in an illegal and unethical manner towards Bank of America customers by telling employees to lie to these customers about their loan documentation. Melanie Pellegrino, Justin Belter and Kevin Conn were all especially involved in this scheme. 

People lost their homes.

People will not speak out when they are under threat for their job. You know as well as I do that this is a terrible economy. That doesn't mean these people should never speak out about discrimination and abuse and unethical and illegal acts. I see that Steve Horne has thrown money at this complaint to make it all go away. It will NEVER go away. Because Wingspan IS GUILTY of mistreating black and brown and muslim workers. The thing is Wingspan and those guys are LAWYERED UP and will sue the pants off of anyone who they feel is a threat

So this silences dissent.


Many people with aggregious stories of treatment while working at Wingspan are afraid and go off and are never heard from again. This is the problem with corporate america and free speech. With the armies of lawyers that these corporations can hire they can threaten anyone with lawsuits to make them go away. They can SILENCE FREE SPEECH.

I am dissapointed at Ripoff Report. I worked at this company. I have first hand knowledge that what Mr. Dean Stallworth stated was absolutely true. However, I don't blame him from not coming forward. What Wingspan and Mr. Steve Horne wanted was HIS NAME. So that they could sic their lawyer bullies on the poor guy.

But what Mr. Dean Stallworth stated was THE TRUTH. Wingspan was a VERY RACIST COMPANY. Their managers were very racist and very arrogant and acted in unbelievable ways. Their managers Justin Belter and Jason Dickard and Melanie Pellegrino would monitor restroom activities. They would have the hispanics sit in the restrooms. They did abuse muslim and black employees.

Wingspan is being SUED right now for racial discrimination.

I am so dissapointed with Ripoff Report. For once I felt that the voiceless had a voice. I guess the Billions these companies make and their aggressive lawyers are simply too much and can get away with silencing Free speech.

I work for Wingspan and everything in this report is absolutely true. This company has the most corrupt management I have ever seen. Not only were they openly racist they would resort to threats and often ask people to lie and do very unethical and illegal acts for Bank of America. The worst offenders were Justin Belter, Melanie Pellegrino and Kevin Conn. These people were not just unethical and immoral but were equally cutthroat.

I can also attest to the fact that Hispanics who clean up are often asked to sit in the restrooms and/or monitor the restroom activities of the blacks at the company. I lost a lot of faith in corporate america. 

With the exception of the biggest snake, Kevin Conn, the other managers were nothing but fancied up rednecks. They had no qualifications for the jobs they held, lied on their LinkedIn pages, and were promoted solely off of their connections with the owner.

Wingspan Portfolio Advisors and their managers Kevin Conn, Melanie Pellegrino and Justin Belter, single-handedly are responsible for scores of Bank of America Customers who lost their homes due to illegal and unethical practices pushed by these managers. People would have to lie to Bank of America Customers and often fraudulently change documents only to see these people denied loans.

These managers threatened people with termination who refused to obey their unethical and illegal orders, they set up employees for termination with trumped up reasons, they placed the employees they did not like on terrible work assignments while working with the employees they do like, they were openly hostile to muslims, blacks, and hispanics. They are, again, just a bunch of rednecks who have lied on their linkedin pages about their experience and qualifications. Many of them came from minimum wage jobs, including Justin Belter and David Payne, and now overnight they are big time managers and feel they are above Texas Labor Laws. Melanie Pellegrino is absolutely the dumbest,most ignorant manager I have EVER seen and had a position "created for her" by the owner who its rumored she does "favors" for (if you get my drift). Jason Dickard could run a cow through a wet paper bag yet he overnight was promoted and promoted by the Owner Steve Horne who it is rumored is actually his father from an out of wedlock union. 

These guys have no clue about running a corporation and Steve Horne is actually the brains behind the entire enterprise. I feel sorry for Mr. Horne that he is surrounded by a group of complete idiots who were making minimum wage or unemployed before they started "masquerading" around as management. 

Kevin Conn is married to a white chick and is the groups "Uncle Tom", the "Token Negro" who is unusually adept at throwing his own people under the bus. He does the racist acts that Justin Belter and Melanie Pellegrino know they can't do (even though they have before). All of these guys are equally corrupt and immoral and honestly I think they have all probably made pacts with Satan as Wingspan is in so many ways a company that will do anything for money and that has management that will stoop to new levels of low through abuse and coercion and harassment and intimidation to get their own employees to engage in illegal and unethical acts.

I would say to anyone to stay away from this company. These folks are scum. These folks are so dirty, so underhanded, so corrupt that this type of an environment can actually leave a person with mental scars that last for life. 

I know people with Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome for Working for this company.

I worked for WingSpan for Almost a year. I worked as a Customer Advocate on the Bank of America Project. The work was not difficult but the company operated in an extremely unethical manner in my opinion. We had to lie to Bank of America customers who were inquiring if we held their original deeds. Bank of America's system was a complete MESS. Records were often missing and when they changed negotiators on a loan modification there would be months of no activity and often people would have to send in information time and time again.

There were very bad managers there. Managers who were childish and petty. WingSpan was a very young company at the time and they literally worked the black employees to death. I mean, black employees SLAVED. The managers were all pretty much white and from Texas and many of them were clearly uncomfortable working around blacks and other races. From working there blacks and other nonwhite races fared worse than the white employees by a long shot.

I can remember the black employees often staying late into the evening to finish their work under threat of being terminated while the white employees would often give up and leave early. These white employees would still have their jobs the next day and would not face any disciplinary action even though they left without permission or their work being complete. I would often have my white coworkers white brought to me by management (who didn't even know he had left) to finish.

On top of all this, we later found out Wingspan was going behind our backs and making these white employees permanent whereas the african americans there were not even though they were recognized more and had worked there longer and had been hired with more qualifications. One of the black managers at WingSpan was fired after he exploded at Justin Belter who reportedly came to him on a high stress day and told him he needed to produce more cases even though there were no more cases for Bank of America to produce. He reportedly told Justin Belter this and Justin Belter reportedly stated "Well "N-Word" Pull it out of your A$$" and he went off on Justin and walked out and quit. He told various people who later called him at home that Justin Belter called him the N word specifically.

There were also other racial incidents perpetrated by Melanie Pellagrino and others.Wingspan is very small and there was a clubby and cliquish atmostphere there in my opinion. I honestly think that most of the management are related as they are comfortable doing and saying things that would get most people fired. Especially Melanie Pelligrino, who is now the Director of Corporate Development I think. She even one day referred to the blacks working there as "Roaches" and this caused a couple of people to quit.

You are doing the right thing by holding Wingspan accountable. They discriminated along racial lines in terms of who they promoted and well as in terms of pay. Normally companies which have a "racial" mgmt staff will promote one black to try and deflect the fact they are racist. Wingspan was no different as it was one black person, Kevin Conn, who they promoted. But he was married to a white woman and there were many blacks at WingSpan who did not trust Kevin at all. It was rumored he was a snake. I felt this way too. It was an awful job and I guess it was my "Welcome to Texas". That is how it is out here in Texas.
